The Gautam is a Rajput clan found primarily in North India. [1] The members of this clan claim to be descended from a Brahmin named Singhi and his Gaharwar wife. [2] [3] [4]

They are primarily found in the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh, along with Rajasthan and Gujarat. [5] [6]
