The sixteenth series of Geordie Shore , a British television programme based in Newcastle Upon Tyne was filmed in September 2017 and began on 9 January 2018, [1] and concluded after ten episodes on 13 March 2018. This is the first series not to include original cast member Gaz Beadle after he quit the show for personal reasons.[ citation needed ] New cast members for this series include Sam Gowland, [2] who had previously appeared on the third series of Love Island , as well as Steph Snowdon. [2] However it was later revealed that Steph had been axed from the show and would therefore not return for the seventeenth series.[ citation needed ]
During this series, cast members Aaron Chalmers and Marnie Simpson both announced that they'd quit the show – therefore this was their final series. [3] The series focused heavily on the love triangle between Abbie, Chloe and Sam, before Chloe and Sam finally make their relationship official. It also included former flames Aaron and Marnie coming to terms with living in the house together whilst both in relationships outside of the house, as well as Sophie and Nathan's struggles without their other halves. Anna recruits the Geordies back to the house where new boy Sam catches the eyes of both Chloe and Abbie. Marnie is left infuriated when Steph declares that she has unfinished business with Aaron, and Chloe and Abbie both compete for Sam’s affection. Aaron returns to the house with the announcement that Gaz won’t be returning, so the group decorate the house with parsnips in his honour. Abbie and Chloe both agree to take a step back from Sam, and Marnie plans to celebrate her birthday in style. Aaron becomes fed up of Nathan overanalysing his friendship with Marnie as she struggles to reassure her boyfriend Casey that nothing is going on between her and Aaron. As Nathan hits a nerve, Aaron is quick to bite. Elsewhere Anna sends the group to Tenerife but forbids Aaron from travelling with them, leaving Marnie with a difficult decision to make. Chloe feels bad for betraying Abbie so plans on telling her everything about her secret smooch with Sam, however someone else gets there first. Chloe is left red faced when she catches Sam chatting up another girl, leading to a violent confrontation back at the house when she lashes out at him. Marnie returns as Anna sends the group to Edinburgh, but puts Chloe on a drinking ban as punishment for her behaviour. Things get increasingly awkward between Chloe and Sam as both refuse to make the first move in sorting their differences out. Marnie questions Steph on her intentions with Aaron, whilst Chloe and Sam finally reach a good place in their relationship. The group participate in a huge food fight, where Chloe and Sam sneak off to have some fun of their own, meanwhile Nathan is concerned when Marnie and Aaron disappear in the toilet for a while. Geordie Shore is a British reality television series that has been broadcast on MTV from 24 May 2011. Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, it was the British offshoot of the American show Jersey Shore. The programme follows the daily lives of 8–12 housemates, as they live together for a number of weeks. In the first series, the house was located in Jesmond, a suburb of Newcastle. Since the second series, the show has used a house in the Oceana Business Park in Wallsend.
The eighth series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne was confirmed in October 2013 after cast member Holly Hagan announced it on Twitter and is expected to air 22 July 2014. Filming began for this series on 25 March 2014. This series will be the first not to feature former cast member Sophie Kasaei after she was axed during the seventh series following a racial slur. All other cast members from the previous series return with the addition of new cast member Aaron Chalmers who had briefly appeared during series two of the show as a one-night stand of Holly's. In May 2014, Gaz announced that the series would begin in July. An exclusive first trailer for the series was released during an episode of Ex On The Beach on 3 June 2014. It was revealed on 10 June 2014 that another new cast member had joined, 21-year-old Kyle Christie.
The ninth series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne, was confirmed on 12 July 2014, and began on 28 October 2014. It was also announced that the cast would travel to Paris and Somerset. All cast members from the previous series returned. Before the series launch, cast member Vicky Pattison announced that this would be her final series. She had appeared in the show since the first series.
The tenth series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne was confirmed on 1 November 2014, and began airing on 7 April 2015. This will be the first series not to include original cast member Vicky Pattison after she departed at the end of the previous series. Ahead of the series it was confirmed that new cast members Chloe Ferry and Nathan Henry had joined the show.

Ahead of the series it was confirmed that the series would be filmed in Greece. In September 2015 when the series premiere was announced, it was confirmed that the cast members would air for 10 episodes, making it the longest series to date. It was also confirmed that the cast had travelled to Zante, Malia, Mykonos, Ios as well as Athens for the series.

It was also later announced that this would be Holly Hagan's last series after she quit in the series finale, along with Kyle Christie.
The fourteenth series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne, was confirmed on 31 October 2016 when cast member Scotty T announced that he would be taking a break from the series to focus on other commitments. The series was filmed in November 2016, and began airing on 28 March 2017. Ahead of the series, it was also confirmed that original cast member Holly Hagan had quit the show, following her exit in the previous series. On 28 February 2017, it was announced that eight new cast members had joined for this series. Zahida Allen, Chelsea Barber, Sam Bentham, Sarah Goodhart, Abbie Holborn, Elettra Lamborghini, Billy Phillips and Eve Shannon all appeared throughout the series hoping to become permanent members of the cast, and in the series finale, Holborn was chosen. Goodhart and Allen both previously appeared on Ex on the Beach, with the former appearing on the third series of the show as the ex-girlfriend of current Geordie Shore cast member Marty McKenna. Lamborghini has also appeared on Super Shore and participated in the fifth season of Gran Hermano VIP, the Spanish version of Celebrity Big Brother. It was also confirmed that Scotty T would return later in the series.
Chloe Ferry is an English television personality from Newcastle, known for being a cast member in the MTV reality series Geordie Shore. She also took part in the nineteenth series of Celebrity Big Brother in 2017.
Sam Gowland is an English television and social media personality. He rose to fame when he participated in the third series of the ITV2 dating reality competition Love Island in 2017. After his stint on the programme, he began appearing in the MTV reality show Geordie Shore, debuting in the sixteenth series in 2018 before leaving in 2019 at the conclusion of the twentieth series.
The fifteenth series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne, was confirmed on 8 August 2017 when a teaser video was released. The series began on 29 August 2017, and concluded after nine episodes on 17 October 2017. This was the final series to include Scotty T and Marty McKenna after they were both axed from the show, as well as original cast member Gaz Beadle following his decision to quit. Six new cast members joined the series, including Grant Molloy, Adam Guthrie and four Australians, Alex MacPherson, Nick Murdoch, Dee Nguyen, and Chrysten Zenoni. Zenoni had previously appeared in the fifth series of Ex on the Beach. The new cast members were to replace Aaron Chalmers and Marnie Simpson, who both announced that they'd quit the show, and Steph Snowdon who was fired after the sixteenth series.

Geordie Shore OGs is a British reality television series broadcast on MTV developed as a sequel to Geordie Shore. The series reunited the original cast members, alongside their children, friends, and new faces, and followed their personal and professional lives. It premiered on 14 August 2019. MTV renewed the series for a fourth and final season which premiered on 13 July 2021.

This series appears as "Geordie Shore: The Reunion Series" and not as a spin off of the show. This series brings together the cast members to celebrate Geordie Shore's 10th anniversary.
