The seventeenth series of Geordie Shore , a British television programme based in Newcastle Upon Tyne was filmed in February 2018, and began airing from 15 May 2018. [1] It concluded following twelve episodes on 31 July 2018 making this the joint longest series to date. The series was filmed in Australia rather than Newcastle, making this the second series to be filmed here following the sixth series in 2013. [2] Ahead of the series it was announced that former cast member Holly Hagan would be making a return to the show. Six new cast members joined the series, including Grant Molloy, Adam Guthrie and four Australians, Alex MacPherson, Nick Murdoch, Dee Nguyen, and Chrysten Zenoni. Zenoni had previously appeared in the fifth series of Ex on the Beach . The new cast members were to replace Aaron Chalmers and Marnie Simpson, who both announced that they'd quit the show, [3] and Steph Snowdon who was fired after the sixteenth series.[ citation needed ]

The Geordie’s are delighted when Anna sends them to Australia on business. New boy Grant catches Abbie’s eyes but she’s left concerned over unanswered questions over his sexuality. The group are far from impressed to receive a visit from their new boss, whilst four new Australian locals descend on the house causing chaos for the originals. Alex hits a nerve with Sam when he gets close to Chloe, and the girls compete for Grant’s attention. After flirting with Abbie, it’s Dee who ends up getting cosy with Grant causing her to erupt. | ||||

Grant tries to play the long game with Abbie before making his move. Nathan, Sam and Abbie face their fears during a skydiving trip, and Chloe takes offence to a comment made by Nathan about her relationship with Sam. With some of the group at work, the others decide to head to Byron Bay for the weekend. Chloe rages to hear that Sam has gone away, but takes the opportunity to make amends with Nathan. Elsewhere Dee and Nick clash, Chrysten enjoys time spent with the group without Chloe, and Abbie and Grant get closer. | ||||

The group in the Gold Coast get increasingly angry that there’s still no sign of the others, who are partying hard in Byron Bay. Sam and Sophie visit a fortune teller, and Nathan and Chloe come up with a revenge plan. When the gang are reunited, there’s fireworks as Chloe blows her fuse at Sam. Elsewhere Chrysten and Dee come to blows over a misunderstanding, and Abbie faces fresh upset after catching Grant seeking other girls. Abbie fears that she’s turning into a psycho following yet another argument with Grant. Elsewhere, following a rough day at work Chrysten decides she’s had enough before leaving the villa for good. Nathan gets emotional after receiving constant reminders of how much he’s missing his boyfriend, whilst Sophie and Alex share a shock kiss. Abbie is left red faced when she sees Grant getting with somebody else at their first Australian house party. Sam and Chloe rage with Alex when he misinterprets information, and Sophie seeks advice on Dee on how to pull an Aussie lad. It’s the morning after the night before and Sam is left regretting his actions. In a bid to cheer everybody up, Nathan suggests go-karting but Abbie isn’t impressed. Sophie and Alex get increasingly closer following another boozy night, whilst Abbie fears she may be leading Nick on. Holly returns to the house to whip the workers back into shape. Sam loses his patience with Chloe once again when she says she wants to spend the night with the girls, which causes more drama for the couple. Elsewhere Holly is overcome with emotion after seeing Sam’s treatment of Chloe, reminding her of her past problems with Kyle. | ||||

Sam wakes up knowing he has a lot of apologising to do to Chloe once again. Sophie fears her feelings may be growing for Alex, whilst Sam and Chloe patch things up. Nathan plans a trip to the Outback for his birthday, but has one more request for the boys. Despite Nathan’s fear of horses, Chloe arranges a horse riding session for his birthday as a surprise. Elsewhere, when the group arrive at the Outback they’re far from impressed with the conditions they’re staying in – as Nathan announced that it’s his worst birthday ever. It’s Dee’s birthday and to celebrate, the girls head to a strip club to learn some moves, however the boys gate-crashing leads to another bicker between Chloe and Sam. Sophie finally admits her feelings towards Alex, but he fears she’s only interested in him when she’s had a drink. The group return to the Gold Coast to find new Geordie Adam has moved in, who is an instant hit with the ladies. Dee wastes no time getting to grips with Adam, which leaves Abbie furious. Sophie and Alex give into temptation once more, whilst Dee and Abbie’s new found friendship hits the rocks as the pair have a violent showdown over Adam. | ||||

Abbie is full of regrets as she wakes up realising life’s too short to be arguing with her friends, whilst Sophie is happy about being in a good place with Alex. Dee and Abbie rekindle their friendship. Chloe is down in the dumps when Sam is forced to leave the house with an injury, whilst the house turns against Alex when he rejects Sophie after fearing he’s caught feelings for her. Dee confronts Adam when she hears he’s been bad mouthing her, Alex worms his way back into Sophie’s good books, and Chloe is depressed when she gets a taste of what life is like without Sam. | ||||

The Aussies take the Geordies to a boat party as a parting gift, where Sophie meets Alex’s friends for the first time. Adam continues to graft Abbie but she’s unsure on her feelings towards him. Elsewhere Chloe and Sam get each other’s names tattooed on them, and Alex and Sophie reminisce over their time spent together. Abbie begins to feel awkward as she tries to let Adam down gently, whilst Sophie is forced into an emotional goodbye with Alex as the Geordies head back home to Newcastle. |

Geordie Shore is a British reality television series that has been broadcast on MTV from 24 May 2011. Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, it was the British offshoot of the American show Jersey Shore. The programme follows the daily lives of 8–12 housemates, as they live together for a number of weeks. In the first series, the house was located in Jesmond, a suburb of Newcastle. Since the second series, the show has used a house in the Oceana Business Park in Wallsend.
Holly Victoria Hagan-Blyth is an English television personality from Thornaby-on-Tees. She starred on and is best known from the MTV series Geordie Shore.
The first series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne, began airing on 24 May 2011 on MTV. The series concluded on 12 July 2011 after 6 episodes and 2 specials including a reunion show hosted by Russell Kane and an episode counting down the best bits of the series. From 23 August 2011 until 30 August 2011, 2 Magaluf specials aired on MTV, however these episodes are featured on the series 2 DVD. The series included the turbulent relationship of Holly with Dan coming to an end, the beginning of Gaz and Charlotte's ongoing love/hate relationship, and Jay and Vicky's rocky relationship. This was the only series to feature Greg Lake.
The third series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne, began airing on 26 June 2012 on MTV. The series concluded on 28 August 2012 after 8 episodes and 2 specials including a best bits episode and an episode counting down the top 10 moments from the series. This series is also known as Chaos in Cancun as it is the only series to be filmed in Cancún, Mexico, and it is the last series to feature Jay Gardner until his return in series 6 and Rebecca Walker. This series featured Vicky and Ricci's relationship on the rocks before they finally got engaged, Holly and James growing closer when James breaks his leg, and more bickering and flirting between Gaz and Charlotte.
The fourth series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne, began airing on 6 November 2012 on MTV. The series concluded on 18 December 2012 with a double bill after 8 episodes, the series ended on a double bill to avoid the final episode airing on Christmas Day. This was the first series to feature Daniel Thomas-Tuck and Scott Timlin and is the highest rated series to date with 4 episodes receiving over 1,000,000 viewers. The series includes Vicky and Ricci's ongoing arguments continue to the point of the engagement being temporarily called off, James leaving Holly distraught by the announcement of him having a girlfriend, and a huge bust-up between Vicky and Sophie which has the whole house divided.
The seventh series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne, was announced on 5 July 2013 after cast members Holly Hagan and Vicky Pattison had been arrested for assault on a night out during filming. The series began on 17 September 2013, just three weeks after Series 6 had concluded, and finished airing on 22 October 2013 after six episodes. This series had a shorter run that usual due to filming being postponed after the night of the assault. It was reported that filming for the series began on 26 June 2013 as the cast members had all been absent from Twitter since then. This was the last series to feature Sophie Kasaei after she was axed from the series following a racial slur. It was also the first series to feature Sophie's cousin, Marnie Simpson and included the brief return of Jay Gardner, who had previously featured in series one to three, and again during the sixth series for two episodes. Following Vicky's arrest, she was absent from the final half of the series. This series included the cast members taking part in a number of activities on their bucket list, new cast member Marnie isolating herself after breaking up the friendship between Gaz and Scott, and Jay returning to fix the drift between the cast members.
The eighth series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne was confirmed in October 2013 after cast member Holly Hagan announced it on Twitter and is expected to air 22 July 2014. Filming began for this series on 25 March 2014. This series will be the first not to feature former cast member Sophie Kasaei after she was axed during the seventh series following a racial slur. All other cast members from the previous series return with the addition of new cast member Aaron Chalmers who had briefly appeared during series two of the show as a one-night stand of Holly's. In May 2014, Gaz announced that the series would begin in July. An exclusive first trailer for the series was released during an episode of Ex On The Beach on 3 June 2014. It was revealed on 10 June 2014 that another new cast member had joined, 21-year-old Kyle Christie.
The ninth series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne, was confirmed on 12 July 2014, and began on 28 October 2014. It was also announced that the cast would travel to Paris and Somerset. All cast members from the previous series returned. Before the series launch, cast member Vicky Pattison announced that this would be her final series. She had appeared in the show since the first series.
The tenth series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne was confirmed on 1 November 2014, and began airing on 7 April 2015. This will be the first series not to include original cast member Vicky Pattison after she departed at the end of the previous series. Ahead of the series it was confirmed that new cast members Chloe Ferry and Nathan Henry had joined the show.

The show began on 20 October 2015. This is the first series not to include original cast member James Tindale after he departed at the beginning of the previous series. Ahead of the series it was confirmed that the series would be filmed in Greece. In September 2015 when the series premiere was announced, it was confirmed that the cast members would air for 10 episodes, making it the longest series to date. It was also confirmed that the cast had travelled to Zante, Malia, Mykonos, Ios as well as Athens for the series.

It also features the return of former cast members Sophie Kasaei and Kyle Christie who previously made a brief return during the Big Birthday Battle anniversary series, and is the last to feature Chantelle Connelly after it was revealed she quit the show mid-series. This series was filmed in various party resort towns in island destinations, including Ayia Napa, Corfu, Kavos, Ibiza and Magaluf. It was also later announced that this would be Holly Hagan's last series after she quit in the series finale, along with Kyle Christie.
The fourteenth series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne, was confirmed on 31 October 2016 when cast member Scotty T announced that he would be taking a break from the series to focus on other commitments. The series was filmed in November 2016, and began airing on 28 March 2017. Ahead of the series, it was also confirmed that original cast member Holly Hagan had quit the show, following her exit in the previous series. On 28 February 2017, it was announced that eight new cast members had joined for this series. Zahida Allen, Chelsea Barber, Sam Bentham, Sarah Goodhart, Abbie Holborn, Elettra Lamborghini, Billy Phillips and Eve Shannon all appeared throughout the series hoping to become permanent members of the cast, and in the series finale, Holborn was chosen. Goodhart and Allen both previously appeared on Ex on the Beach, with the former appearing on the third series of the show as the ex-girlfriend of current Geordie Shore cast member Marty McKenna. Lamborghini has also appeared on Super Shore and participated in the fifth season of Gran Hermano VIP, the Spanish version of Celebrity Big Brother. It was also confirmed that Scotty T would return later in the series.

Geordie Shore OGs is a British reality television series broadcast on MTV developed as a sequel to Geordie Shore. The series reunited the original cast members, alongside their children, friends, and new faces, and followed their personal and professional lives. It premiered on 14 August 2019. MTV renewed the series for a fourth and final season which premiered on 13 July 2021.

Filming locations include a trip to the Algarve in Portugal, Ibiza and Newcastle upon Tyne. The first trailer for the season was released in late August 2022 and premiered later that year on September 20. This was the final series to feature Marty McKenna after he was suspended from MTV. This series appears as "Geordie Shore: The Reunion Series" and not as a spin off of the show. This series brings together the cast members to celebrate Geordie Shore's 10th anniversary.
