George Paul Shelley (born 27 July 1993) is an English singer, actor and presenter, and a former member of the boy band Union J.
In 2015, he competed in the fifteenth series of the ITV reality show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! and finished as a runner-up to Vicky Pattison.He co-presented The Capital Breakfast Show alongside Dave Berry and Lilah Parsons. He also appeared on BBC show Murder in Successville as a sidekick.
Shelley was born to Toni Harris in Clevedon, North Somerset (then in Avon).He attended Kings of Wessex Academy in Cheddar before graduating from Weston College in 2011. He had a younger sister, Harriet, who died after being injured in a car accident in 2017.
In 2012, Shelley was part of British band Only the Young, but left the band to audition for the ninth series of The X Factor as a solo artist singing "Toxic" and was eliminated during the bootcamp stage, as were boy band Triple J. However, due to Rough Copy having to withdraw from the show, an extra spot was opened up in Louis Walsh's category for judges' houses. Triple J's manager, Blair Dreelan, was contacted by The X Factor producers with an offer for the group to return, on the basis that Shelley was added to the three-piece. All parties accepted the offer and the band – now a four-piece – became Union J and advanced to judges' houses alongside fellow recalled group Times Red.Union J went on to progress to the live shows and finished fourth, behind Christopher Maloney, Jahméne Douglas and eventual winner James Arthur.
On 3 March 2016, Shelley left the band so he could focus on his acting and broadcasting career.
Shelley signed to MN2S agency in 2015,but left for Coalition Talent where he is represented by agent Vinesh Patel for his live work and Ashley Vallance at Cole Kitchenn for management. In 2016, George joined the radio station The Capital Breakfast Show as a regular presenter alongside broadcaster Lilah Parsons and Dave Berry. In early 2016, George hosted the Brits Red Carpet live show alongside Lilah Parsons, and E!'s Golden Globes coverage alongside Sarah-Jane Crawford.
In April 2017, Shelley left The Capital Breakfast Show.
In July 2016, Shelley made his acting debut by guest-starring in an episode of the British sitcom series Murder in Successville in series 2, episode 4 as Sidekick.In 2017, Shelley made his second acting appearance in Benidorm . He played Giles in series 9, episode 4.
In 2016, Shelley announced that he would be releasing his debut EP, with a series of music videos to accompany it. The lead single from the EP, titled "360", was released on 20 November 2016.Shelley has also modelled and released a calendar in 2017. In December 2017, Shelley returned to the fourteenth series of The X Factor , where he co-presented alongside Stacey Solomon. He interviewed the friends and families of the finalists at the live finals from the ExCeL London on things such as how they feel about their finalist who is competing in the competition and to send good luck messages to finalists.
On 3 February 2016, in response to rumours regarding his sexuality, Shelley uploaded a video to YouTube, in which he stated that he is attracted to both men and women. However, he also stated that he does not want to be labelled as bisexual: "I've had girlfriends that I've loved and they've been amazing periods of my life. But I've also had boyfriends. And I just want you to know that whether I decide to be with a girl next or a guy next, it's because I love them and it shouldn't be a big deal."
In July 2018, upon the release of his debut single "Technicolour", the singer came out as gay. In an interview for Celebmix.com, he said: "I was scared for a long time, terrified of coming out. But when I did everyone was just like ‘yeah’."

Capital London is a radio station owned and operated by the Global media company as part of its national Capital FM Network. As Capital Radio it was launched in the London area in 1973 as one of Britain's first two commercial radio stations. Its brief was to entertain, while its opposite number, London Broadcasting (LBC), was licensed to provide news and information. In search of a larger audience in 1974, Capital Radio rapidly moved from a general and entertainment station with drama, features, documentaries and light music to a more successful pop music-based format. In 1988 it became two stations: Capital London and Capital Gold. After some national expansion with the purchase of other radio stations the Capital Radio Group merged with GWR Group in 2005 to form GCap Media which in turn was taken over by Global Radio in 2008. In 2011 Capital London was launched nationally, apart from the daily breakfast and weekday drivetime shows, becoming part of the Capital FM Network. In 2019 the breakfast and drivetime shows also became national.
David Robert Berry is a British TV and radio presenter. Berry currently hosts the Absolute Radio Breakfast Show, every weekday from 6am. He previously presented The Capital Breakfast Show from 2012 until 2017, alongside Lisa Snowdon, George Shelley and Lilah Parsons.
Michael Louis Vincent Walsh is an Irish music manager and television personality. He has managed Johnny Logan, Boyzone, and Westlife, three of Ireland's most successful pop acts in the 1990s and 2000s. He later began a career as a talent judge on shows such as Popstars (2001–2002), You're a Star (2003–2004), The X Factor, Ireland's Got Talent (2018–2019) and Junk Kouture (2014-present).

Capital Breakfast is the name of the breakfast slot on Capital FM. The show is broadcast from 6 am to 10 am each weekday. From 7 January 2012 an additional live networked edition was broadcast from 6 am to 9 am each Saturday.

He was also crowned the winner of the second series of Popstar to Operastar in 2011 and the first series of The Jump in 2014. In 2015, McElderry played the lead role of Joseph in the touring production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
Stacey Chanelle Clare Solomon is an English singer and television personality. She finished in third place on the sixth series of The X Factor in 2009, and gained a number one single on the UK Singles Chart when her fellow The X Factor finalists released a cover of "You Are Not Alone".
Ross Richard Clark-Neal, known professionally as Rylan Clark-Neal, is an English television and radio presenter, singer, narrator and model. After finishing in fifth place in the ninth series of The X Factor, he went on to win Celebrity Big Brother 11. Later that year, he presented Big Brother's Bit on the Side, This Morning and The Xtra Factor. He is also the host of the revived editions of Supermarket Sweep and Ready Steady Cook, as well as the BBC's You Are What You Wear.
Union J were an English boy band, their final lineup consisting of members JJ Hamblett and Jaymi Hensley. The band previously also included George Shelley, who left in 2016 and was replaced by Casey Johnson, who left several months later , and Josh Cuthbert, who left in 2018. The band formed in 2011, originally as a trio known as Triple J, consisting of Cuthbert, Hamblett and Hensley. They auditioned for the ninth series of the British television music competition The X Factor where they met Shelley who joined the band at the judges' request. They finished fourth and were subsequently signed to Sony Music subsidiary RCA Records. Their debut single "Carry You" was released in June 2013. Their self-titled debut studio album followed in October 2013 and peaked at number 6 on the UK Albums Chart.
Only the Young were an English pop group consisting of Mikey Bromley, Betsy-Blue English, Charlie George and Parisa Tarjomani. They were created and managed by Jo Perry. The group previously featured George Shelley, who auditioned for ninth series of The X Factor as a soloist who was later added to Union J who made the live shows, eventually finishing in fourth place in the semi-final. This was when Shelley was later replaced by Bromley. In 2014, Only the Young entered the eleventh series of The X Factor and made the live shows, where they finished in seventh place.
Stereo Kicks were an English-Irish boy band who were formed and finished fifth place on the eleventh series of The X Factor in 2014. Stereo Kicks consisted of; James Graham, Jake Sims, Chris Leonard, Charlie Jones, Casey Johnson, Barclay Beales, Reece Bibby, and Tom Mann. Their debut single "Love Me So" was released on 21 June 2015 and charted at number 31 on the UK Singles Chart. Just a month later, however, having been together under a year, they announced they were disbanding due to their failure to land a record deal.
"You Got It All" is a song performed by English boy band Union J, and written by Nasri (Magic!). It was released on 28 November 2014 in Ireland, and on 30 November 2014 in the UK, as the second and final single from Union J's second studio album You Got It All – The Album (2014). Additionally, a version featuring The Vamps was released on 1 December 2014. It's the group's final single with George Shelley after he left the group on 4 March 2016.
Lilah Veronica Parsons is an English radio DJ, TV presenter, actress and former model, best known for being a presenter on MTV, co-presenting Capital Breakfast with Dave Berry and George Shelley and hosting a solo radio show on Heart.
Roman Kemp is an English radio host and television personality. Since 2014, he has presented the national radio network Capital FM and their own breakfast show since 2017. In 2019, Kemp finished in third place in the nineteenth series of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!.
