Geranium is a Danish gourmet restaurant in Parken in the center of Copenhagen. The head chef is Danish chef Rasmus Kofoed, who won the Bocuse d'Or in 2011. It was one of the first Danish three-starred restaurants according to the Michelin Guide . In 2022, it was named best restaurant in the world by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.

History

Restaurant Geranium was opened in the spring of 2007 in Kongens Have in Copenhagen by Rasmus Kofoed and Søren Ledet. Although the restaurant received a Michelin star in 2008, it was forced to close in 2009. It reopened in Parken, Østerbro, in 2010. [1]

In March 2013, the restaurant received two Michelin stars. [2] The following month, it was named the world's 45th-best restaurant by William Reed's The World’s 50 Best Restaurants; it had previously been listed in the 49th position. [3] The restaurant kept the two Michelin stars for 2014. [4] On February 24, 2016, Geranium was the first Danish restaurant to receive three Michelin stars. The Norwegian Michelin restaurant Maaemo also received three stars, which made these two restaurants the first Nordic restaurants to have three Michelin stars. [5] [6] In 2022, Geranium was named the world's best restaurant by William Reed's The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. [7]

The capacity for concerts exceeds the capacity for matches – the stadium can hold as many as 50,000 people with an end-stage setup and 55,000 with a centre-stage setup.

The World's 50 Best Restaurants is a list produced by the UK media company William Reed, which originally appeared in the British magazine Restaurant in 2002. The list and awards are no longer directly related to Restaurant, though they are owned by the same media company.

Super16 is a Danish non-traditional film school based at the Nordisk Film Studio in Valby, Copenhagen. The name of the school refers to both the economical Super 16 mm film gauge, and to the number of participants in each class: 6 directors, 6 producers and 4 screenwriters. Each class program is for a 3-year period and produces 6 films annually. Although English-speaking applicants can apply, all instruction and communication is held in Danish.

Klosteret is a nightclub located at Hauser Plads 32 in Copenhagen, Denmark. With an area of circa 2000 square meters, it is the largest night club in Denmark. Klosteret was opened as a night club in February 2015 by the members of the pop group Infernal, Lina Rafn and Paw Lagermann. Infernal owned more than half the place. In the beginning of 2016, the place switched owners and is now called SGK by Fabio Klosteret 2.0.

Nicolai Nørregaard is the head chef and co-owner of restaurant Kadeau in Copenhagen and Bornholm. He was born and raised on the island of Bornholm, a small Danish Island in the Baltic Sea. As a child he was highly influenced by his grandfather’s cooking, who cultivated and grew his own vegetables, caught much of his own seafood, and preserved ingredients so that he could remain self-sufficient during the winter months.

Henne Kirkeby Kro is an inn (kro) in the village of Henne Kirkeby in Varde Municipality, Denmark. It was established in 1790 and since 2007 has been owned by Flemming Skouboe. The restaurant is managed by former chef Garrey Dawson and under chef Paul Cunningham was awarded a Michelin star in 2016 and a second in 2017.

Kalaha is a Danish band consisting of Emil de Waal (drums), Niclas Knudsen (guitar), Rumpistol aka Jens Berents Christiansen (synthesizer) and electronic producer Mikael Elkjær aka Spejderrobot... The band takes inspiration from Afrobeat, Anatolian rock, electronic rave music and jazz improvisation.

Esben Holmboe Bang is a Danish chef and restaurateur. He is co-owner and head chef at the three Michelin star restaurant Maaemo in Oslo, Norway.
