Ghansawangi or Ghansavangi is a town and a tehsil in the Partur subdivision of the Jalna district in the state of Maharashtra, India. Its distance from Aurangabad (by road and on highway) is about 60 kilometers.

Ghansavangi is within the Parbhani Loksabha constituency. Parbhani consists of Jintur, Gangakhed, Partur, Pathri and Parbhani Assembly constituencies. Ghansawangi assembly constituency is represented by the Health Minister in the Maharashtra state government of Maharashtra, Rajesh Tope. [1] [2]

Gurupimpri is one of the oldest villages in Ghansawangi tehsil.

Rajesh Tope is an Indian politician and member of the Nationalist Congress Party. Rajesh Tope won the Ghansawangi in 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election. He won the 2009 Assembly Election from the same constituency. This is his third term as a member from Ghansawangi constituency, while before that he was 2 Time MLA from Ambad constituency, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly MLA. He served as the Health Minister of Maharashtra in the Uddhav Thackeray ministry. He also work as a guardian minister of Jalna in his political career.

The Jalna-Nanded Expressway is a link road greenfield project that connects the largest cities of Marathwada to Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway, which is also officially known as Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg. Proposed as 6-lane wide, this segment will reduce the road distance between Jalna and Nanded from 226 kilometres to 179 kilometres and bring down travel time between Nanded and Mumbai from 12 hours to around 6 hours.
