Phish is an American rock band formed in Burlington, Vermont, in 1983. The band is known for musical improvisation, extended jams, blending of genres, and a dedicated fan base. The band consists of guitarist Trey Anastasio, bassist Mike Gordon, drummer Jon Fishman, and keyboardist Page McConnell, all of whom perform vocals, with Anastasio being the lead vocalist.

The song's lyrics were based on a bout with infectious mononucleosis suffered by Marshall.
"The Cover of 'Rolling Stone'" is a song written by Shel Silverstein and first recorded by American rock group Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show. Produced by Ron Haffkine and released in 1972, it was the band's third single and peaked at No. 6 on the U.S. pop chart for two weeks on March 17–24, 1973. The song satirically laments that the band had not appeared on the cover of the Rolling Stone, a magazine that focuses on music, politics, and popular culture. The song's success led to the band appearing on the cover of Rolling Stone in 1973, albeit in caricature.
Holly Bowling is an American pianist. She is best known as a former member of the band Ghost Light, in which she performed on keys and vocals. Classically trained, she has transcribed some of the music of Phish and the Grateful Dead into arrangements for solo piano. In 2014, Bowling published her "Jam Transcription" of Phish's famous rendition of "Tweezer" from Lake Tahoe on July 31, 2013. The success of Bowling's "Tahoe Tweezer" ignited her career as a musician.
LP on LP is a series of live albums by Vermont-based jam band Phish. The albums contain highlights from different Phish concerts, released on vinyl records. Due to the length of the typical Phish jam, all the albums so far have featured only one or two songs. Four volumes have been released thus far, with the first two being released on June 18, 2021, the third on August 5, 2022 and the fourth on January 13, 2023.
