The Giant Country Horns were a group of musicians who joined rock band Phish for 14 concerts during the band's 1991 summer tour. The horn section, named after "Giant Country" White Bread, added new arrangements to classic Phish songs including "Suzy Greenberg," "Stash," "Split Open and Melt" and many other originals and cover songs.
In 1994, a different lineup performed with Phish under the name Cosmic Country Horns for a limited number of shows. In addition to Grippo and Gerhard, this expanded horn section included Joey Somerville Jr. and Michael Ray on trumpet, Chris Peterman on tenor saxophone, Mike Hewitt on baritone saxophone, and Don Glasgo (a professor at Dartmouth College) on trombone. This lineup can be heard on the song "Gumbo" from the platinum selling A Live One double album.
Members of the Giant Country Horns have appeared as special guests at Phish shows several times since 1991, and Grippo and Gerhard have appeared on a number of other Live Phish Series releases.
From 2001 through 2004, Grippo and Remington recorded and toured with Anastasio as members of his first backing band. In late 2005, Remington joined Anastasio's new backing band a few months after the outfit debuted. Both Remington and Grippo have performed with Anastasio's latest backing band as well.

70 Volt Parade was Trey Anastasio's backing band in 2005, formed after the breakup of Phish in August of the previous year. After writing and recording new material in late 2004 and early 2005, Anastasio began auditioning various musicians for his next project. This band essentially replaced Anastasio's first backup band that was together in different forms from 1999 to 2004. 70 Volt Parade originally included Peter Chwazik on bass, Skeeto Valdez on drums, Les Hall on guitar and keyboards, and Ray Paczkowski also on keyboards. In 2006, with Les Hall out of the lineup, and a new musical focus for Anastasio, the 70 Volt Parade name was dropped.
Trey Anastasio is a self-titled album by the guitarist and composer Trey Anastasio. It was released on April 30, 2002 by Elektra Records and recorded at "The Barn", his studio near Westford, Vermont. Some of the songs included are evolved, but much less experimental versions of tracks on Anastasio first solo album, One Man's Trash, released in 1998. The tracks included were written by Anastasio, along with Tom Marshall, Tony Markellis, Russ Lawton and Scott Herman.

Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings were an American funk and soul band signed to Daptone Records. They were part of a revivalist movement of mid-1960s to mid-1970s style funk and soul music. They released their debut album Dap Dippin' in 2002, the first of seven studio albums. Their 2014 album Give the People What They Want was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best R&B Album. Following Sharon Jones' death in 2016, the band released the posthumous final album Soul of a Woman in 2017. A compilation of cover songs was also released in 2020. The Dap-Kings, the Daptone house band, continue to work with other artists and performed together live through 2018.
Since 1998, Trey Anastasio, best known from Phish, has toured and recorded with several backing musicians, including several side-projects organized and led by the guitarist and composer. Fans commonly referred to them as Trey Anastasio Band, or TAB for short. In spring 2005, after the break up of Phish the previous fall, Trey formed 70 Volt Parade. This moniker only lasted a short time, as he began using the name Trey Anastasio Band for this group the following year. In 2008, he toured with members of the older band as "Classic TAB", and then two years later, he began again using the name Trey Anastasio Band for this group. Through its history, Trey Anastasio's band has gone through many diffferent configurations, ranging from a trio to a dectet.
Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes are an American musical group from the Jersey Shore led by Southside Johnny. They have been recording albums since 1976 and are closely associated with Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band. They have recorded or performed several Springsteen songs, including "The Fever" and "Fade Away". Springsteen has also performed with the band on numerous occasions and in 1991 guested on their Better Days album. During the band's formative years Miami Steve Van Zandt acted as the band's co-leader, guitarist, songwriter, arranger and producer while other E Streeters including Clarence Clemons, Max Weinberg, Garry Tallent, Ernest Carter, Patti Scialfa and Soozie Tyrell have all performed, toured or recorded with the Jukes. The band's horn section – the Miami Horns – has also toured and recorded with Springsteen. More than one hundred musicians can claim to have been members of the Asbury Jukes, including Jon Bon Jovi who toured with the band as a special guest during 1990. Bon Jovi has also cited the band as an influence and Jukes' Bobby Bandiera and Jeff Kazee have also toured with Bon Jovi. Other notable band members include Mark Pender and Richie "La Bamba" Rosenberg who have played regularly with the Max Weinberg 7 on both Late Night with Conan O'Brien and The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien.
Live Phish Vol. 3 was recorded live at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center in Darien, New York, on September 14, 2000. The show was part of the band's final tour before taking an indefinite extended hiatus three weeks later.

Since 1967, the group’s blend of swing, rock and roll, jump blues, boogie-woogie and soul has earned it five Grammy Award nominations and many other accolades, including seven Blues Music Awards. Billboard called the band "a tour de force of horn-fried blues…Roomful is so tight and so right." The Down Beat International Critics Poll has twice selected Roomful of Blues as Best Blues Band.

The Horseshoe Curve is entirely instrumental apart from three cries of "Burlap Sack & Pumps" on track 3 of the same name. This album features the ten-member dectet that toured from 2002 to 2004.
Stash is a compilation album from the rock band Phish containing songs from their 1988–1995 official releases. It was only released in Europe and was released to promote the band's 1996 spring tour of Europe, which included headlining shows along with opening shows for Santana.
Original Boardwalk Style is a live album from Trey Anastasio and the Undectet, released on June 10, 2008 on Anastasio’s own Rubber Jungle Records. It was recorded live on December 30 and 31, 2006, at the House of Blues in Atlantic City, New Jersey. These two shows were recorded shortly after Anastasio was arrested for drug possession earlier that month and were his final concerts before he began a drug rehabilitation program; Anastasio made a reference to the arrest during the song "Makisupa Policeman" during the December 31 show, but that song does not appear on the album.
