Giga (戯画) was a Japanese adult game and visual novel brand used by TGL subsidiary Entergram. The Giga brand is used on both regular visual novels as well as games that feature mecha with action-oriented gameplay elements. One of its sub-brands, Baldrhead, has been used for several of these action-oriented visual novels. Aside from their visual novels, they are known for creating the Variable Geo fighting game series for PC9800, which was later ported to TurboGrafx-CD, PC, Super Famicom, Sega Saturn and PlayStation.
Some of Giga's games have had consumer port releases onto consoles with the sexual content removed. For example, Kono Aozora ni Yakusoku o was ported to the PlayStation 2 in 2007 [1] [2] and the PlayStation Portable in 2009. [3] [4] [5] Baldr Force was ported to the Dreamcast and PlayStation 2 and Baldr Bullet "Revellion" was ported to the PlayStation 2.
Kono Aozora ni Yakusoku o was very well received and was awarded the Bishōjo Game Award gold prize in the scenario, theme song, romance, and user approval categories in addition to the grand prize in 2006. [6] Baldr Sky Dive1 "Lost Memories" was awarded the Moe Game Award silver prize in the theme song category in 2009. [7]
Giga announced that they will shut down March 31, 2023 and ending its selling its titles. [8]

Popotan is a Japanese adult visual novel developed by Petit Ferret with character designs by Akio Watanabe under the alias Poyoyon Rock. It was originally released as a PC game for CD-ROM on December 13, 2002, and subsequently re-released on DVD-ROM and for the PlayStation 2 with certain scenes removed. The title Popotan is a nonsensical word meant to reflect the prominence of dandelions, spelled tanpopo (たんぽぽ) in Japanese; Petit Ferret also produced a fan disc shortly before the DVD-ROM re-release. Popotan has been adapted to other media, including a novel series by Sassami Yachiruda; a manga series by Yūjiro Izumi; a twelve episode anime television series directed by Shinichiro Kimura, animated by Shaft, and licensed in North America by Geneon USA and later, Sentai Filmworks; a radio drama (Poporaji); and several art and reference books.
The Japan Bishojo Contest (全日本国民的美少女コンテスト) is a beauty contest and audition contest name that has been held every year since 1987 in Oscar Promotion, and is the sister pageant of the Japan Beautiful Girl Contest. When a bishōjo wins the Japanese Girl pageant, the first runner-up becomes Japan Bishojo Contest.
Popteen is a monthly teenage fashion magazine published by the Kadokawa Haruki Corporation in Japan. The first issue was published on 1 October 1980 by Kadokawa Shoten. Later issues were published by Asuka Shinsha who bought the magazine for 200 million yen. She is most well known for her vocal performances in Gust-produced video games such as the Ar tonelico series and Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm. Kono Aozora ni Yakusoku o is a Japanese adult visual novel produced by Giga, originally released on March 31, 2006. The game was ported to the PlayStation 2 in 2007, the PlayStation Portable in 2009, and the PlayStation Vita in 2015 came with additional content although the adult content was removed. An anime television series was made in 2007 under the title Kono Aozora ni Yakusoku o: Yōkoso Tsugumi Ryō e. A remake, titled Kono Aozora ni Yakusoku o Refine, is scheduled to be released for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on December 19, 2024.
Shima Shima Tora No Shimajirō is a 1993 Japanese children's anime series based on the educational learning program Kodomo Challenge by Benesse. It is directed by veteran director Hisayuki Toriumi, with character designs by Shigehito Tsuji. The first Shimajiro series aired at TV Setouchi and all other TXN networks in Japan from December 13, 1993, to March 31, 2008. The second aired from April 7, 2008 to March 29, 2010. The third aired from April 5, 2010 to March 26, 2012, and the fourth and current one began airing on April 2, 2012.
marble is a Japanese musical duo, originally named The Student's and formed in 1999. The members, Micco and Tatsuya Kikuchi, met and became friends while they were both enrolled in music school. Kikuchi was the main musical support for Micco at that time, who was acting as a solo artist. As they got to know each other better, they decided that they could both make better music if they performed together, and formed The Student's. After getting signed to Warner Music Group's indie label in 1999, they had two releases, but got increasingly more involved in production for other artists and gradually did less and less of their own activities. However, the urge to write and perform their own music came back, and to commemorate this change in attitude, they resigned the company and renamed themselves 'marble' in 2003 and played shows with a backup band, but they split from the band in 2005, and Micco and Kikuchi continued their performances as a duo.
Baldr Sky is a duology of Japanese adult visual novels with 2D action elements developed by Giga. The series characterizes itself as a cyberpunk action adventure game. The first game, named Baldr Sky Dive1 "Lost Memory” was released in Japan on March 27, 2009, for Windows. The second game, Baldr Sky Dive2 "Recordare" was released in Japan on November 27, 2009. A fandisc called Baldr Sky DiveX "Dream World" was released in Japan on September 24, 2010. An English version containing both Dive1 and Dive2 was released by Sekai Project on December 20, 2019.

Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon S: Jōgai Rantō!? Shuyaku Sōdatsusen is a 1994 fighting video game developed by Arc System Works and published by Angel for the Super Famicom. It is based upon Naoko Takeuchi's Sailor Moon manga and anime series and stars heroic teenage girls who represent the major celestial bodies of the solar system. The player takes control of one of the girls who have decided to stage a fighting tournament to determine who should lead the group.
