Glen Elk Historic District is a national historic district located at Clarksburg, Harrison County, West Virginia. The district encompasses 131 contributing buildings north of the central business district of Clarksburg. The area was developed after 1898, and contains a mixture of residential and commercial buildings. They include commercial warehouses built of brick and stone, small commercial buildings, housing specialty shops and eateries, and frame dwellings. Located in the district is the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Depot (1903). [2]

The Ritchie County Courthouse in Harrisville, West Virginia, is a Neoclassical Revival building designed in 1923 by Clarksburg architects Holmboe & Pogue, and built by Forman & Putnam. It replaced an 1874 courthouse. The courthouse is relatively elaborate compared to its largely rural setting.

It encompasses 85 contributing buildings and two contributing structures covering eleven square blocks. The district includes the commercial, ecclesiastical, and civic core of the town and surrounding residential area. The district includes a number of buildings representative of popular architectural styles from the late-19th century and early-20th century including Romanesque Revival, Colonial Revival, Gothic Revival, and Greek Revival. Notable buildings include the Braxton County Courthouse (1881-1882) and Jail (1905), Sutton Bank Building (1891), Farmers Bank and Trust (1909), Bank of Sutton, Methodist Episcopal Church, South (1896), Kelly / Fisher House. The district encompasses 196 contributing buildings and three contributing sites located in the commercial district and surrounding residential section. They are predominantly 19th and early 20th century frame detached residences and masonry commercial buildings including notable examples of the Federal, Greek Revival, and Queen Anne styles. Notable buildings include the Woodson Mohler Grocery building, Johnson and Gwinn warehouse, Greenbrier Mill, First National Bank building, Alderson's Store, Chesapeake and Ohio depot, U.S. Post Office, and the City Hall (1939). The Alderson Ferry Site is for the ferry established 1789. Located in the district is the separately listed Alderson Bridge.

The district encompasses 119 contributing buildings in 16 blocks of the central business district of Clarksburg. It includes an extraordinary variety of architectural types and styles including Renaissance Revival and Italianate. Notable buildings include the Goff Building (1911), Municipal Building (1888) [demolished], the Waldo Hotel (1901–1904), Robinson Grand, Harrison County Courthouse (1931-1932), U.S. Post Office (1932), Masonic Temple (1911–1914), Merchant's National Bank (1894), First United Presbyterian Church (1894), and First Methodist Church. Located in the district and separately listed are Waldomore and the Stealey-Goff-Vance House. The Nathan Goff, Jr. House was delisted in 1994.
Quality Hill Historic District is a national historic district located at Clarksburg, Harrison County, West Virginia. The district encompasses 33 contributing buildings in the East Main Street and Jackson Square areas. They are mostly residential buildings date from 1880 to 1910. The oldest dates from about 1850, the Burton Despard house. They reflect a variety of popular architectural styles from the late-19th and early-20th centuries. Notable buildings include the Maxwell-Duncan House, Virgil Highland House (1903-1905), and Robinson-Haynes House/American Red Cross (1895-1897).

The district includes 73 contributing buildings in Bluefield's central business district. The buildings are primarily three and four story masonry commercial buildings. Notable buildings include The Shamrock Restaurant (1885), People's Bank (1895), the Art Deco / Moderne style Colonial Theatre and Appalachian Power Company building, Law and Commerce Building, Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Building, First Christian Church (1920), Elizabeth Kee Federal Building and Post Office (1911), Bluefield Sanatorium, and West Virginia Hotel (1923) designed by Alex B. East Wheeling Historic District is a national historic district located at Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia. The district encompasses 300 contributing buildings and one contributing site, including the Monroe Street East Historic District. The district is primarily residential, developed in the late-19th and early-20th century. A number of popular architectural styles are represented including Greek Revival and Gothic Revival. Notable non-residential buildings include St. Joseph Cathedral (1926), former Hazel Atlas Company building, Scottish Rite Temple designed by noted Wheeling architect Frederick F. Faris (1870-1927), Elks Building, and YMCA (1906), also designed by Faris. The contributing site is Elk Playground. Also located in the district are the separately listed L. S. Good House, Charles W. Russell House, and Cathedral Parish School.

It encompasses 78 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site in the central business district of the town of Pulaski. It includes a variety of governmental, commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings dated primarily to the late-19th and early-20th century. Notable buildings include the MaGill building, B. D. Smith and Bros., building, Elks Theatre and building, former high school, freight depot (1907), Pulaski Grocery Company building, the General Chemical Company, Christ Episcopal Church (1908), and the Appalachian Power Company building. The West Broad Street Commercial Historic District is a national historic district located at Richmond, Virginia. The district encompasses 20 contributing buildings built between about 1900 and the late 1930s. Located in the district is the Forbes Motor Car Company (1919), Harper-Overland Company building (1921), Firestone Building (1929), Engine Company No. 10 Firehouse, and the Saunders Station Post Office (1937). The majority of the buildings are two-to-four stories in height and are composed of brick with stucco, stone and metal detailing. Located in the district is the separately listed The Coliseum-Duplex Envelope Company Building.
