2016 European Athletics Championships 2016 edition of the European Athletics Championships

The 2016 European Athletics Championships was held in Amsterdam, Netherlands, between 6 and 10 July 2016. It was the first time the Netherlands hosted the event.

Its status as the capital is mandated by the Constitution of the Netherlands, although it is not the seat of the government, which is The Hague.
