Huang Xing or Huang Hsing was a Chinese revolutionary leader and politician,and the first commander-in-chief of the Republic of China. As one of the founders of the Kuomintang (KMT) and the Republic of China,his position was second only to Sun Yat-sen. Together they were known as Sun-Huang during the Xinhai Revolution. He was also known as the "Eight Fingered General" because of wounds sustained during war. His tomb is on Mount Yuelu,in Changsha,Hunan,China.

Shen Hongying or Shum Hung-ying was a Chinese general in the Old Guangxi Clique during the Republic of China (1912–1949). Shum was given the title of General Hip Wai (協威將軍) by President Li Yuanhong. Shen served as military governor of Guangdong from March 1923 to May 1924 in the Warlord Era. He was in alliance with Wu Peifu. He was defeated by Li Zongren in 1925.

Martyrs' Park Station is a station on Line 1 of the Guangzhou Metro that started operations on 28 June 1997. It is named "Martyrs' Park Station" because of the nearby Guangzhou Martyrs' Memorial Garden or Guangzhou Martyrs' Memorial Cemetery (广州起义烈士陵园),a park dedicated to those who fought and died in the 1927 Guangzhou Uprising by the Chinese communists against the Kuomintang.

Yeung Ku-wan was a Chinese revolutionary of the late Qing dynasty. In 1890,Yeung started the Furen Literary Society in British Hong Kong to spread ideas of revolution against the Qing dynasty and to establish a republic in China. He became the first President of the Hong Kong Chapter of the Revive China Society in 1894 and was,with Sun Yat-sen,in charge of planning an uprising in Canton in 1895 and in Huizhou in 1900. Yeung was assassinated in 1901 in Hong Kong by an agent sent by the Qing government.
