Guillermo Segurado (2 October 1946 – 10 June 2024) was an Argentine rower. He competed at the 1968 Summer Olympics and the 1972 Summer Olympics. [1] Segurado died on 10 June 2024, at the age of 77. [2]

A polo tournament was contested at the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris. The competition ran from 28 June to 12 July at the Château de Bagatelle and the Saint-Cloud Racecourse, with five teams competing. Silver went to the United States, which played in—and won—the first three games of the tournament before a close-played (6–5) loss to Argentina in game 6. Great Britain, the two-time defending champions, finished with bronze.

Óscar Alberto Furlong Chretienneau was an Argentine basketball player, and tennis player and coach. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As a basketball player, he was a FIBA World Cup champion in 1950, who also competed at the 1948 Summer Olympic Games, and at the 1952 Summer Olympic Games. Furlong was inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame in September 2007.

Juan Guillermo Brunetta is an Argentine professional racing cyclist. He is most famous for his unusual size for a cyclist. He is 2.04 metres and 97 kilograms (214 lb). Like most cyclists out of Córdoba, he started off as a track rider but has made the transition to the road and does not race as much on the track these days. He has been one of the best time trialists for the last 6 years in Argentina, but he has raced most of his road career in Uruguay with the Villa Teresa team with much success, especially in the time trials. He competed in the men's team pursuit at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Since 2007 he has been racing in Argentina again.
