Gunung Putri is a district (Indonesian: Kecamatan) in the Bogor Regency, West Java, Indonesia, and is also part of the Jabodetabek metropolitan area (also known as Greater Jakarta). Because of its location, the district has earned itself a sizeably large population of commuters, and a high density of population. [1]

A bedroom community, Gunung Putri has a high density of population, compared to the other districts in the regency, with the district's northern part being a "planned community", complete with house complexes, parks, schools, and other facilities, all being designed and built by real estates. [2]

Apart from that, the central and southern portions of the district are also packed with houses, although the southern part centres more on being an industrial area.

Putri Indonesia 2018, the 22nd Puteri Indonesia pageant, was held at March 9, 2018 at Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia. Bunga Jelitha, Puteri Indonesia 2017 of Jakarta Special Region 5 crowned her successor, Sonia Fergina Citra from Bangka Belitung, at the end of the event. She defeated 38 other candidates to win the title of Miss Universe Indonesia 2018 and will now represent Indonesia at the Miss Universe 2018.

Sonia Fergina Citra is an Indonesian model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Puteri Indonesia 2018. She represented Indonesia at the Miss Universe 2018 pageant held in at IMPACT Arena, Muang Thong Thani in Nonthaburi Province, north of Bangkok, Thailand. Sonia became the sixth Indonesian, third Sumatran and the second representative of Bangka Belitung to be placed as a finalist in Miss Universe history.
