HC Bat Yam is an Israeli ice hockey team based in Bat Yam that competes in the Israeli League. HC Bat Yam was founded in 1992 and won their first league title in 1995. In 2010, the club qualified for their first IIHF Continental Cup, however they were knocked out in the first round without winning a game. HC Bat Yam won their second title in 2016 and as a result qualified for the 2016–17 IIHF Continental Cup.
HC Bat Yam was founded in 1992 in Bat Yam, Israel and joined the Israeli League. [1] In the 1993–94 season, Bat Yam finished as runner-up to HC Haifa. [2] Bat Yam improved in the 1994–95 season with the club finishing the regular season in first place after winning seven of their eight games to claim their first regular season title. [3] In the playoffs Bat Yam was drawn against the fourth place HC Metulla for their semifinal. [3] Bat Yam defeated Metulla 13–5 to advance to final against the Jerusalem Capitals who had defeated HC Haifa in the other semifinal. [3] Bat Yam defeated the Jerusalem Capitals 11–3 to claim their first league title. [3] The following season Bat Yam finished in second place behind the Lions Jerusalem. [4] From the 1997–98 season to the 1999–2000 season, Bat Yam finished the regular season in fourth place and were eliminated from the playoffs in the semifinals. [5] [6] [7] The following season, Bat Yam dropped out of playoff contention after finishing the regular season in fifth place. [8] In the 2009–10 season, Bat Yam returned to the playoffs and qualified for the final against HC Ma’alot where they were defeated. [9] [10] The club however qualified for the 2010–11 IIHF Continental Cup where they entered in the first round. [11] Bat Yam lost both of their games against CH Jaca and Ankara University SK and failed to qualify for the second round. [12] The club again finished as runners-up in the 2011–12 season after being defeated by Maccabi Metulla. [13] In 2012, the team's current arena, Ice Peaks Holon, was opened in the city of Holon. [1] The following three seasons Bat Yam failed to qualify for the playoffs. [14] [15] [16] In the 2015–16 season, Bat Yam finished the regular season in fourth placed and were drawn against the regular season winner, Horses Kfar Saba for the semifinal. [17] [18] Bat Yam defeated Horses Kfar Saba 7–2 and advanced to the final against Monfort Ma'alot who had defeated the Rishon Devils in the other semifinal. [18] Bat Yam defeated Monfort Maalot 6–3 in the final to claim their second league title. [18] As a result of winning the 2016 final Bat Yam also qualified for the 2016–17 IIHF Continental Cup where they entered in the first round. [19] The club was placed in Group A alongside Irbis-Skate Sofia, Partizan Belgrade and Zeytinburnu Belediyespor. [20]

Hockey Club Slovan Bratislava is a professional ice hockey club based in Bratislava, Slovakia. In 2012, it left the Slovak Extraliga and joined the international Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). In 2019, it returned to the Tipos Extraliga. The club has won nine Slovak championships, one Czechoslovak championship (1979) and one IIHF Continental Cup (2004), making it the second most successful hockey club in Slovak history after their biggest rival HC Košice. The team plays its home games at Ondrej Nepela Arena, also known as Slovnaft Arena. The team is nicknamed Belasí, which means the "sky blues" in English.

The West Auckland Admirals is an ice hockey team based in Auckland, New Zealand and are members of the New Zealand Ice Hockey League. The Team has always been based out of the Paradice Ice in Avondale, Auckland which in itself has a proud 41-year operating history. Eliezer "Elie" Alexeevich Sherbatov is an Israeli-Canadian ice hockey player who plays for the Jonquière Marquis of the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey, after having played for HC Mariupol of the Ukrainian Hockey League until the Russian invasion in February of 2022. In the 2020-2021 season he played for TH Unia Oświęcim of the Polska Hokej Liga. He is the first Israeli to have played in the Russian Kontinental Hockey League, for HC Slovan Bratislava. His biography, published in both French and English was written by Anna Rosner and released on October 12, 2022.

HK Prizma Riga/IHS is an ice hockey team in Riga, Latvia, that plays in the Optibet Hockey League, the top tier of the sport in Latvia. The team is based in Riga and play their home games at the Volvo Sports Centre. HK Prizma previously played in both the Eastern European Hockey League and the MHL B.

Until the construction of the new arena in Holon, many Israeli hockey players were members of the Canada Israel Hockey School housed at the Canada Centre in Metulla, Israel. Lately, a vast number of new hockey team (/clubs) has been created in the 'center' of Israel, most of them based on roller-hockey players, or young players who started their career in the Holon ice arena.

Hokejsko drsalno društvo Jesenice or simply HDD Jesenice, currently named SIJ Acroni Jesenice due to sponsorship reasons, is a Slovenian professional ice hockey team based in Jesenice. They are members of the Alps Hockey League and the Slovenian Ice Hockey League. HDD Jesenice was founded in 2014. The club replaced a temporary team called Team Jesenice, which was established in 2013. HDD Jesenice previously competed in the Inter-National League from 2014 to 2016, before the league merged into the Alps Hockey League. The club won their first Slovenian Championship in the 2014–15 season and as a result qualified for the 2015–16 IIHF Continental Cup. Their home arena is Podmežakla Hall.
HC Kremenchuk is an ice hockey team based in Kremenchuk, Ukraine, playing in the Ukrainian Hockey Extra League that was formed prior to the 2016–17 season. The club was founded in 2010 and initially competed in Ukrainian amateur championships before joining the Belarusian Vysshaya Liga for 2013–14 season. After finishing the regular 2013–14 season Kremenchuk was forced to withdraw from the league prior to the playoffs due to the political situation in Ukraine. The team then joined the Ukrainian Championship for the 2014–15 season, winning the regular season and finishing as runners-up in the playoffs. Kremenchuk has also qualified for the IIHF Continental Cup on one occasion.

The 2016–17 Continental Cup was the 20th edition of the IIHF Continental Cup, Europe's second-tier ice hockey club competition organised by International Ice Hockey Federation. The season started on 30 September 2016 and the final tournament was played on 13–15 January 2017.
Irbis-Skate Sofia is a Bulgarian ice hockey team based in Sofia and compete in the Bulgarian Hockey League. Irbis-Skate Sofia was founded in 2012 and joined the Bulgarian Hockey League for the 2015–16 season. The club won the 2015–16 season and the 2016 Bulgarian Cup and as a result qualified for the 2016–17 IIHF Continental Cup.
