Haley Ishimatsu (born September 10, 1992 in Bellflower, California) is an American platform diver. [1]
Ishimatsu is a fourth-generation Japanese American. [2] Her older sister Victoria "Tory" Ishimatsu is also a competitive diver, [1] and tried out for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games at the U.S. trials with Haley. [2] At the 2008 Kaiser Permanente National Diving Championships, the elder Ishimatsu placed fourth in both the One-meter Springboard and the Synchronized Springboard Final. [3] Ishimatsu signed a letter of intent to compete collegiality at Duke University beginning in the 2010 season. She has now transferred to the University of Southern California where she started attending fall of 2012.
Ishimatsu has been a member of the U.S. national diving team since 2006, medaling in over ten different competitions nationally and internationally. [1]
Ishimatsu is a member of the 2008 U.S. Olympic team in both the 10-meter platform and the synchronized 10-meter platform event with Mary Beth Dunnichay. [4] In the synchronized competition Ishimatsu and Dunnichay earned fifth place scoring 309.12. [5] In the individual event, Ishimatsu finished tenth with a score of 329.00 in the preliminary round, [6] but did not make finals, finishing in 14th place [7] [8] with a score of 292.95. [8]
Ishimatsu continued diving in preparation for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, stating: [9] "Now I know what the experience is like, some of the surprises," Ishimatsu told the Associated Press. "I'll be able to deal with it better." [9] However, Ishimatsu failed to secure a return to London, faltering badly on her 4th dive in the June 2012 diving trials in Seattle, WA.[ citation needed ]
Diving was first introduced in the official programme of the Summer Olympic Games at the 1904 Games of St. Louis and has been an Olympic sport since. It was known as "fancy diving" for the acrobatic stunts performed by divers during the dive. This discipline of Aquatics, along with swimming, synchronised swimming and water polo, is regulated and supervised by the International Swimming Federation (FINA), the international federation (IF) for aquatic sports.

David Alasdair Boudia is an American diver. He won the gold medal in the 10 metre platform diving competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics and the bronze medal in the same event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He also won a bronze medal with Nick McCrory in the men's synchronized 10 metre platform at the 2012 Summer Olympics and a silver medal in the same event with Steele Johnson at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Paola Milagros Espinosa Sánchez is a Mexican diver and represented Mexico at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she was her national team's flagbearer, and the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
Mary Beth Dunnichay is an American platform diver. Her older brother Caleb is also a competitive diver for Auburn University.
Guo Jingjing is a retired Chinese female diver, and multi-time Olympic gold medalist and world champion. Guo is tied with her partner Wu Minxia for winning the most Olympic medals (6) of any female diver and she won the 3m springboard event at five consecutive World Championships. She announced her retirement in 2011.
Kristian Ipsen is an American diver, who has been diving competitively since 1998. Diving alongside Troy Dumais, they took the silver medal in the synchronized 3 meter springboard at the 2009 World Aquatics Championships and the bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Michael Hixon is an American diver. He is a two-time Olympic medalist, having won the silver medal with Sam Dorman in the men's synchronized 3-meter springboard event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and the silver medal with Andrew Capobianco at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo in the same event.

Laura Ryan is an American international diver from Elk River, Minnesota. She competes in one and three meter individual springboard diving and 10 meter platform diving as well as three meter synchronized springboard. She dove collegiately at Indiana University (IU) and the University of Georgia (UGA). At UGA she was a two-time NCAA champion.
Steele Alexander Johnson is an Olympic silver medal-winning American diver. He has won multiple national titles at both the junior and college levels. Johnson made his Olympic debut at the 2016 Rio Games, where he won a silver medal with David Boudia in the men's 10 m synchronized platform diving competition. Johnson is a six-time senior national champion with USA Diving. He won the 10-meter platform at the 2013 USA Diving Winter Nationals, was a 15-time junior national champion, and was a four-time champion at the Junior Pan American Games.
Katrina Young is an American diver. She competed for the United States in the women's 10-meter diving at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and in the 10-meter platform contest at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
Delaney Schnell is an American diver. In the 10 meter platform, she won a bronze medal at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships. In the 10 meter synchronized platform, she won silver medals at the 2020 Summer Olympics and 2022 World Aquatics Championships as well as a bronze medal at the 2019 Pan American Games. In the 10 meter mixed synchronized platform, she won a bronze medal at the 2022 World Aquatics Championships. She competes collegiately for the University of Arizona.
