Halmstad Hammers HC, until 2017 known as Halmstad HF, is an ice-hockey club in Sweden. The team currently plays in Group F of Division 1. The team was founded in 2006 after the Halmstad Hammers HC who at the time played in the HockeyAllsvenskan went bankrupt.

The 2005–06 HockeyAllsvenskan season was the first season of the HockeyAllsvenskan, the second level of ice hockey in Sweden. The season originally featured 16 teams, but due to Halmstad Hammers HC's bankruptcy mid-season in November 2005, the season only featured 15 teams. The top four teams qualified for the Kvalserien, with the opportunity to be promoted to the Elitserien.

Kvalserien, also known as Kvalserien till HockeyAllsvenskan, is the name of the Swedish round-robin ice hockey tournament to qualify for play in the next season of HockeyAllsvenskan, Sweden's second highest ice hockey league for men.

The 2004–05 Allsvenskan season was the sixth season of the Allsvenskan, the second level of ice hockey in Sweden. 23 teams participated in the league, and Leksands IF, Skellefteå AIK, IK Nyköping, and IK Oskarshamn qualified for the Kvalserien.
