Hanishiyeh (Persian : حنيشيه‎, also Romanized as Hanīshīyeh)^[1] is a village in Howmeh-ye Sharqi Rural District, in the Central District of Khorramshahr County, Khuzestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 108, in 25 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Howmeh-ye Sharqi Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Khorramshahr County, Khuzestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 8,388, in 1,594 families. The rural district has 16 villages.

The Central District of Khorramshahr County is a district (bakhsh) in Khorramshahr County, Khuzestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 147,642, in 31,001 families. The District has two cities: Khorramshahr and Moqavemat.
