Highland Park High School (HPHS) is a public four-year high school located in Highland Park, Illinois, a North Shore suburb of Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. It is part of Township High School District 113. From 1900-1904, the school was known as Deerfield High School. The high school served both Deerfield and Shields townships from 1904 until 1936 and was Deerfield-Shields High School. The building of Lake Forest High School in 1936 provided a school to serve Shields Township students. This led to the return of the name Highland Park High School. A new, separate Deerfield High School opened 20 years later to serve the growing population.

United High School or UHS, is a public four-year high schoollocated at 1905 100th Street near Monmouth, Illinois, a city of Warren County, Illinois, in the Midwestern United States. UHS is part of United Community Unit School District 304, which also includes United Junior High School, United North Elementary School, and United West Elementary School. Despite the Alexis United misnomer sometimes used to describe the high school, the campus is actually located 2 miles east of Monmouth, IL, though the district's north campus and one of the elementary schools is located in Alexis, Illinois. The misnomer is due to the district office previously being located in Alexis, Illinois. It has since been moved to the high school campus. The school serves a mixed city fringe, village, and rural residential community on the outskirts of the city of Monmouth, in the villages of Alexis, Kirkwood, Little York, North Henderson, and the unincorporated communities of Cameron and Gerlaw. Much of the school district is within the Galesburg micropolitan statistical area. United High School was formed by the consolidation of Alexis High School and Monmouth Warren High School in 2004. In 2007 Monmouth Yorkwood High School deactivated and was annexed into United High School.
Spoon River Valley High School, also known as Spoon River Valley Senior High School, or SRVHS, is a public four-year high school located at 35265 North IL Route 97 east of London Mills, Illinois, a village in Fulton and Knox Counties, in the Midwestern United States, at the intersection of Illinois Routes 97 and 116. Rochelle Township High School, commonly referred to as RTHS, is a secondary school located in Rochelle, Illinois. RTHS is the only school operated by Rochelle Township High School District 212. Opened in 1929, Amundsen is a part of Chicago Public Schools district. The school is named for Norwegian explorer Roald Engelbregt Gravning Amundsen (1872–1928). Its first year of existence was the fall of 1994, when it was formed by the merger of the Macon School District (1927–1994) and the Blue Mound School District (1917–1994). The Little Ten Conference is the oldest continuous high school athletic conference in the state of Illinois. Founded in 1919, it comprised the following small high schools in northern Illinois: Earlville, Hinckley, Leland, Paw Paw, Plano, Rollo, Sandwich, Shabbona, Somonauk, and Waterman. The conference is still in operation and currently consists of the following members: DePue, Earlville, Hinckley-Big Rock, Indian Creek, Kirkland Hiawatha, LaMoille, Leland, Newark, Serena, Somonauk, and the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA). Over the years, there have been a number of other area schools in the conference, including Malta.
Orangeville High School, now referred to as Orangeville CUSD, is a public School four year high school that also hosts the Junior High and the elementary school level grades for the entire school district. The building is located at 201 S. Orange St in Orangeville, Illinois, a village in Stephenson County, Illinois. The school serves students residing in the communities of Orangeville, Red Oak, Oneco, Afolkey, Buena Vista, Damascus, Buckhorn Corners, and surrounding area. In 2019, the city’s elementary school was transferred to this building to include all grades within the same complex. The building itself was built to its current state in 1948 after the original building was destroyed by a fire.
Dakota Junior Senior High School, formerly Dakota High School, is a combined junior-senior high school located in the town of Dakota, Illinois. It is located 10 miles (16 km) northeast of Freeport along Illinois Route 75 in northeast Stephenson County about 25 miles (40 km) northwest of Rockford, is located in the town of Dakota, Illinois. The Dakota Community Unit School District became the third-largest school district in Stephenson County in 1949 when the State of Illinois mandated that larger school districts be created and Davis High School was consolidated into Dakota's High School. Only the districts of Freeport, and Lena-Winslow are larger.
The Private School League was a high school conference in northeastern Illinois. The conference participated in athletics and activities in the Illinois High School Association. The conference comprised 28 small private schools, with enrollments between 50 and 400 students, in Bureau, DuPage, Kane, Lake, LaSalle, McHenry, Will, and Winnebago counties.
The SHARK Conference was a high school conference in north central Illinois and south central Wisconsin. The conference participated in athletics and activities in the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) and the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA). The conference included private and public high schools with enrollments between 75-2,000 students in Boone, DeKalb, Lee, McHenry, Stephenson and Winnebago counties in Illinois and Rock in Wisconsin.
