Henrik Christiansen (born 9 October 1996) is a Norwegian swimmer. He is a three-time Olympian, World and European championships medalist, and holds multiple Norwegian national records. [1]
He won three medals at the 2014 European Junior Swimming Championships. [2]
He also competed at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships. [3]
He won a silver medal at the 2016 European Aquatics Championships in the 400 metre freestyle. [4]
He turned down swimming scholarship offers from Stanford University and UC Berkeley to continue his training in Norway. [5]
At the 2016 Summer Olympics, he was a finalist in the 1500m freestyle, placing 8th. [6] [7] He also competed in the 400m freestyle. [8]
In 2019, he was a member of the 2019 International Swimming League representing Team Iron. He won the 400 m freestyle in London.

Christiansen went viral on TikTok during the 2024 Summer Olympics for several videos he posted about his love of the chocolate muffins served at the Olympic dining hall. He was given the nickname "Olympic Muffin Man" due to this. [15] [16] [17]

Kathleen Genevieve Ledecky is an American competitive swimmer. She has won nine Olympic gold medals and 21 world championship gold medals, the most in history for a female swimmer. With 14 medals and 9 gold medals, she is also the most decorated American woman, most decorated female swimmer, the female with the most gold medals and fifth-most decorated athlete in Olympic history. She has won a record 16 individual gold medals at the World Aquatics Championships. Ledecky's eight individual medals at the Olympics and 26 overall medals at the World Aquatics Championships are records in women's swimming. Ledecky is the world record holder in the women's 800- and 1500-meter freestyle, as well as the former world record holder in the women's 400-meter freestyle. She also holds the fastest-ever times in the women's 500-, 1000-, and 1650-yard freestyle events. Jordan Matthew Wilimovsky is an American competitive swimmer who specializes in open water swimming. At the 2015 World Championships in Kazan, Russia, Wilimovsky won the gold medal in the 10 km open water event. Wilimovsky won by a margin of 12.1 seconds over the second-place finisher Ferry Weertman of the Netherlands. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, Wilimovsky competed in both pool swimming and open water swimming events, becoming the first American to swim in both types of events at one Olympic Games.
