A comic book, comic-magazine or simply 'comic', is a publication that consists of comics art in the form of sequential juxtaposed panels that represent individual scenes. Panels are often accompanied by descriptive prose and written narrative, usually dialogue contained in word balloons emblematic of the comics art form.
Manhwa is the general Korean term for comics and print cartoons. Outside Korea, the term usually refers to Korean comics. Manhwa is directly influenced by Japanese Manga comics. Modern Manhwa has extended its reach to many other countries. These comics have branched outside of Korea by access to Webtoons and have created an impact that has resulted in some movie, drama and television show adaptations.

Unbalance ×2 is a Korean manhwa series written by Dall-Young Lim and illustrated by Soo-Hyun Lee. The series focuses on Jin-Ho Myung, a high school senior, and his romantic relationship with his homeroom teacher, Hae-Young Nah. The manhwa began biweekly serialization in Young Champ magazine in May 2005, and the first volume was released on June 15, 2005 by Daewon C.I. The series had a long hiatus following the release of the ninth volume, and resumed serialization in Young Champ from October 2010 to October 2011. The tenth and final volume was released by Daewon C.I. on January 13, 2012. Unbalance Unbalance was licensed in North America by Infinity Studios, and released the first volume on January 11, 2007. A drama CD was released in Japan in September 2009.
Kang Do-young, better known as Kang Full, is a South Korean webtoon artist and screenwriter. Kang began his career as a cartoonist in 1997, serializing comic reviews in Yeongseo Newspaper, then in 2002, began publishing his cartoons on his personal website. He is one of the first-generation webtoon artists in South Korea.
Freezing is a Japanese manga written by Dall-Young Lim and illustrated by Kwang-Hyun Kim. The series revolves around the invasion of Earth by an interdimensional force called the Nova, and a special military group of genetically engineered young women called Pandoras. Pandoras fight alongside their male partners known as Limiters, who are created to combat the Nova. The story centers around Kazuya Aoi, a Limiter whose late sister was a Pandora, and Satellizer el Bridget, a Pandora with a cold personality who is known as the "Untouchable Queen" due to her intense aphephobia. Both are enrolled at West Genetics Academy, which is a training school for Pandoras and Limiters.
Sanho Kim is a South Korean comic book artist, considered the first artist working in a manhwa style to be published regularly in the United States. The bulk of Kim's American work was for Charlton Comics' horror comics, as well as the Kung fu title House of Yang.
Mu-jik Park, known professionally as Boichi, is a South Korean manhwa-turned-manga artist living in Japan.

Simcheongga, the pansori version, performed by a single narrator, is believed to be the older version of the story, with the novel having been adapted from its script. Some examples of the story, though nominally referred to as novels, are practically the same as the pansori libretti, and are thus referred to as "pansori novels".

A webtoon adaptation was first serialized in KakaoPage on September 3, 2017, and is illustrated by Whale. An anime television series adaptation produced by Typhoon Graphics aired from April to June 2023.

Love Is an Illusion! is a South Korean boys' love manhwa written and illustrated by Fargo. The series has an omegaverse setting and follows Hye-sung, an Omega who thought he was an Alpha until recently, and Dojin, an Alpha who cannot stand Omegas. The series was serialized online via Lezhin Comics between January 2018 and March 2021. On February 12, 2022, a sequel, Love Is an Illusion! — The Queen, began serialization.
What Does the Fox Say? is a Korean girls' love manhwa series written by Gyeomji and illustrated by Gaji under the collective Team Gaji. The series follows Sungji as she joins a mobile game developer, Hello Studio, and begins a relationship with her team manager Sumin. The manhwa was serialized online via Lezhin Comics from April 2015 to December 2019 after winning Lezhin Comics first World Comic Contest. It was collected into six print volumes by Polar Fox on December 20, 2021.
The Love Doctor is a South Korean girls' love manhwa series written by Chamsae and illustrated by Bansook. The manhwa was serialized online via Lezhin Comics from April 23, 2016, to December 9, 2017. The story follows Jung Erae, a college student who is so clueless about dating she contacts a love doctor, Cha Yoon, to help her out. The manhwa was published digitally in English by Lezhin Comics two months after the series first began publication.
