Hikan-e Bala (Persian : حيكان بالا‎, also Romanized as Ḩīkān-e Bālā; also known as Ḩīkān, Hīkān-e ‘Olyā, Hikūn-e ‘Olyā, and Hīkūn ‘Olyā)^[1] is a village in Hotkan Rural District, in the Central District of Zarand County, Kerman Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 60, in 15 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Hotkan Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Zarand County, Kerman Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 1,247, in 384 families. The rural district has 22 villages.

The District has three cities: Zarand, Reyhan Shahr, and Khanuk.
