Hilton Head International Piano Competition

The Hilton Head International Piano Competition is a piano competition held annually since 1996 at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina's First Presbyterian Church.

Jerome Lowenthal is an American classical pianist. He has served as chair of the piano department at the Juilliard School in New York. Additionally, Lowenthal is on the faculty at Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California.

Konstantin Alekseyevich Soukhovetski was born into a family of artists, and began playing the piano at the age of four. He studied at the Moscow Central School under the auspices of the Moscow Conservatory, where his special subjects also included composition and acting. He then studied at the Juilliard School of Music in New York City, gaining his bachelor's degree in 2003 with the Anton Rubinstein Prize as an outstanding pianist. He received his Master's degree from Juilliard in 2005 with the support of The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans, and is in the Artist's diploma program at Juilliard, studying with Jerome Lowenthal. He was named winner of the William Petschek Piano Debut Recital Award for 2006. His NYC debut recital was on April 20, 2006 at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center.

Sandra Wright Shen (仙杜拉), a world-renowned concert pianist, was born in Taipei, Taiwan. She received her Bachelor of Music in 1994 with a piano performance major and organ minor from the Peabody Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Ann Schein. In 1996, she completed her Master of Music in piano performance and also served as an Ear-Training graduate teaching assistant to Peabody professor Clinton Adams. She has performed in master classes with Jerome Lowenthal, André Watts, Lev Nauomov, and Rebecca Penneys and studied chamber music with Earl Carlyss. Wright Shen's passion for chamber music took her to Germany and Austria during the summers of 1995–1998, where she worked with the Alban Berg Quartet, Jörg Demus, and Grant Johannesen.

He made his Carnegie Hall debut in November 2006.
