The 1904 Summer Olympics were an international multi-sport event held in St. Louis, Missouri, United States, from 1 July to 23 November 1904. Many events were conducted at what is now known as Francis Field on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis. This was the first time that the Olympic Games were held outside Europe.

Søren Marinus Jensen was a Danish sport wrestler who competed in the 1906 Intercalated Games and the 1908 and 1912 Summer Olympics. He won medals at each Game; however, the gold medals he won at the 1906 Games are no longer considered to be Olympic medals. He remains Denmark's most successful wrestler at the Olympics. In addition, he was World Champion in 1905 and won multiple European championship silver medals.
Richárd Weisz was a Hungarian heavyweight Greco-Roman wrestler. He competed at the 1906 Intercalated Games and at the 1908 Summer Olympics and won a gold medal in 1908.
György Luntzer was a Hungarian track and field athlete and sport wrestler. A three-time Hungarian Athletics Championships winner in the discus throw, he also participated at the 1908 Summer Olympics and the 1912 Summer Olympics, achieving his best result in 1908 by finishing seventh in the discus throw event.
Twelve national teams competed in the Men's Olympic Hockey Tournament at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. Sixteen players were officially enrolled in each squad. Two reserve players could also be nominated to be available should a player enrolled in the official squad become injured during the tournament. Official squad lists were released by the FIH on 24 July 2008.

István Kozma was a Hungarian Greco-Roman wrestler. He won Olympic gold medals in 1964 and in 1968, and the World Championship in 1962, 1966, and 1967. In 1967 he was selected as the Hungarian Sportsman of the Year. Kozma died in a car accident, aged 30.

György Gurics was a Hungarian wrestler. He was born in Dunapentele in Fejér County. He was Olympic bronze medalist in Freestyle wrestling from 1952. He won a gold medal in Greco-Roman Wrestling at the 1961 World Wrestling Championships. He was named Hungarian Sportsman of The Year in 1961.
Ferenc Kiss was a Hungarian wrestler who competed in the 1964 Summer Olympics, in the 1968 Summer Olympics, and in the 1972 Summer Olympics. He was born in Nick, Hungary.
Márton Erdős was a Hungarian wrestler. He competed in the men's freestyle 52 kg at the 1968 Summer Olympics.
Hu Richa is a Chinese wrestler. He competed at the 1984 Summer Olympics and the 1988 Summer Olympics.
László Klauz was a Hungarian wrestler. He competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics and the 1992 Summer Olympics. He won silver medal at the 1989 World Wrestling Championships and bronze medal at the 1986 World Wrestling Championships.
