Huangjinkou Station (Chinese :黄金口站), is the terminus of Line 4 of Wuhan Metro. It entered revenue service on December 28, 2014. It is located in Hanyang District. [1] [2]
Simplified Chinese characters are standardized Chinese characters prescribed in the Table of General Standard Chinese Characters for use in mainland China. Along with traditional Chinese characters, they are one of the two standard character sets of the contemporary Chinese written language. The government of the People's Republic of China in mainland China has promoted them for use in printing since the 1950s and 1960s to encourage literacy. They are officially used in the People's Republic of China and Singapore.
The Wuhan Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Wuhan, Hubei, operated by the Wuhan Metro Co., Ltd. The system began operation on July 28, 2004 with the completion of a ten-station long elevated line between Huangpu Road and Zongguan, making Wuhan the fifth city in mainland China to have a metro system after Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. Line 1 is the first metro line in China to have been wrongly referred to as a light rail system in Chinese terminology. As of February 2019, there are nine lines in operation, totaling 216 stations and 318 kilometres (198 mi) of system length. The daily ridership of Wuhan Metro ranges from 2,200,000 to 2,800,000.
Hanyang District forms part of the urban core of and is one of 13 districts of Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province, People's Republic of China. Currently, it is a district and stands between the Han River and the Yangtze River, where the former drains into the latter. It is connected by bridges with its former sister cities, Hankou and Wuchang. Presently, on the left bank of the Yangtze, it borders the districts of Qiaokou to the north across the Han River, Jianghan to the northeast, Caidian to the southwest, and Dongxihu to the northwest; on the opposite bank it borders Wuchang and Hongshan. Guiyuan Temple is located in Hanyang.
