Hugo Vegard Vetlesen (born 29 February 2000) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Belgian Pro League club Club Brugge and the Norway national team.

Career

On 5 October 2020, Vetlesen left Stabæk to sign for Bodø/Glimt until the end of 2023. [4] [5] On 7 April 2022, Vetlesen headed in the game-winning goal in a shock 2–1 victory over Serie A side Roma in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League. [6]

On 3 July 2023, Vetlesen signed for Club Brugge until 2027 in a deal worth a reported €7,750,000. [7]

The 2019 season was Bodø/Glimt's second season back in the Eliteserien since their relegation at the end of the 2016 season. Bodø/Glimt finished the season in second position, qualifying for the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League. In the Norwegian Cup, they were knocked out by Strømmen in the second round.

The 2020 season was Bodø/Glimt's third season back in the Eliteserien since their relegation at the end of the 2016 season. They finished as champions of the Eliteserien for the first time, and in turn qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time, whilst the Norwegian Cup was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Norway. In Europe, Bodø/Glimt reached the Third Qualifying Round of the Europa League where they were knocked out by Milan.
