"I Don't Want It at All" is the debut international single by German singer Kim Petras, released on 1 August 2017. [2] It was co-written and co-produced by Petras and Aaron Jennings, [3] along with Dr. Luke and Cirkut. [4] It is the first of eleven songs, released from 2017 to 2019, that form Petras' "Era 1" project. [5]
The song reached number 54 on the US Dance Club Songs chart in March 2018. [6] A music video was released in October 2017 featuring a cameo appearance by Paris Hilton. [4]
Petras and rapper Aaron Jennings, better known as Lil Aaron, came up with the idea for and hook of the song soon after meeting when Petras, who had been on a shopping trip, brought several bags into the studio. [3] Although he was not officially credited, [7] the track was also worked on by songwriter Aaron Joseph, who was signed to Dr. Luke's publishing company Prescription Songs after Luke and his management had heard about Joseph corresponding with a hacker he believed to be Luke. [1] Through this, Joseph was introduced to Petras and contributed to the track. [1]
AllMusic called the song an "'80s-infused dance-pop tune". [8] Galore magazine said it was a "bratty banger", [9] while Entertainment Weekly described it as a "shop-'till-you-drop-anthem". [4] Bakersfield.com labeled the track a "21st-century pop update of Madonna's 'Material Girl'". [1] Noisey writer Colin Joyce called the song a "glitzy paean to consumerist excess". [3]
Billboard ranked the single as the second best Era 1 single, noting: "From the effortlessly cool, synth-heavy intro to the song's bratty lyricism, Petras separated herself from her pop peers by dreaming up an expensive fantasy in this escapist jam." [5]
Petras performed the song at Perez Hilton TV and Popdust, the latter along with "Hillside Boys".
The music video, released On October 30, 2017, directed by Charlotte Rutherford. [4] Petras and her friend came up with the concept and pitched it to Rutherford, with Petras calling it a "teen girl's fantasy" and noting it was inspired by the fairy tale "The Princess and the Pea". [4] Paris Hilton makes a cameo appearance in a recreation of Weird Science . [4]

"Lady Marmalade" is a song written by Bob Crewe and Kenny Nolan, originally for Nolan's disco group. Łukasz Sebastian Gottwald, known professionally as Dr. Luke, Tyson Trax, and Made in China, is an American record producer and songwriter. His professional music career began in the late-night television sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live as its house band's lead guitarist in 1997 and producing remixes for artists such as Bon Jovi and Gravediggaz. He came into music prominence in 2004 for producing Kelly Clarkson's single "Since U Been Gone" with Swedish record producer Max Martin.
"How Many Licks?" is a song by American rapper Lil' Kim featuring vocals by American musician Sisqó from Lil' Kim's second studio album, The Notorious K.I.M. (2000). Mario Winans and Sean Combs produced the song, and wrote it with Lil' Kim and Sisqó. The hip hop song samples the Knight Rider theme song, with lyrics expressing a woman's desire for oral sex and her sexual relationships with a variety of men. The chorus is a reference to the advertising slogan for Tootsie Pops. A remix by the Neptunes has additional vocals from American artists Kelis, Lil' Cease, and Snoop Dogg. "How Many Licks?" was released as the second and final single from The Notorious K.I.M. on November 21, 2000, by Queen Bee Entertainment and Atlantic Records.

Turn Off the Light, Vol. 1 is a Halloween-themed mixtape extended play by German singer-songwriter Kim Petras. It was released on 1 October 2018 through her own label, BunHead. Petras began promoting the EP in mid-September, posting heavily edited photos to Instagram of herself, according to Paper, "styled as a sexy dead Victoria's Secret angel/Hades side-chick/goth middle schooler's notebook-doodled fantasy. She later posted to Twitter that she "[couldn't] wait to share" a collaboration with Elvira. Three vinyl LP pressings were released on 20 September 2019: a "pink and white galaxy swirl" and a clear vinyl, which were exclusive to Urban Outfitters in the US, and a neon pink pressing which is a general retail release. The songs from the EP were incorporated into the full-length follow-up Turn Off the Light, which was released as her second mixtape one year later on 1 October 2019.

Clarity is the debut mixtape and first full-length album by German singer Kim Petras, released on 28 June 2019. Nine of its twelve tracks were released beforehand, beginning in April 2019. It was produced by Made in China, Aaron Joseph, Brandon Hamlin, Jussifer, Oliver and Ben Billions. Musically, it contains elements of synth-pop, bubblegum pop, hip hop, contemporary R&B, glam rock and emo pop. Petras stated that this project is her "personal journey over the last two years", and it has received widespread critical acclaim.

Problématique is the third mixtape and fourth full-length project by German singer Kim Petras, released on 18 September 2023 through Amigo and Republic. It was originally planned to be her debut album, however, it faced multiple delays and was ultimately scrapped following a mass leak of its songs in 2022. Petras encouraged the fans to listen to the songs, but always stated her desire to officially release the project at some point, and instead released Feed the Beast as her debut album in June 2023. Petras posted a schedule of upcoming releases throughout September 2023, of which a secret one on 18 September turned out to be the surprise release of Problématique.
