Khasan Makharbekovich Baroyev is a Russian Greco-Roman wrestler of Ossetian origin, who competes in the 120 kg weightclass. He competed in the men's Greco-Roman 120 kg at the 2004 Summer Olympics and won the gold medal. He is also the 2003 and 2006 world champion. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, he was awarded the silver medal, which was later stripped due to doping. He also competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Armen Nazaryan is an Armenian Greco-Roman wrestler who later represented Bulgaria. Nazaryan is a two-time Olympic Champion, a three-time World Champion, and a six-time European Champion. After Armenia regained independence in 1991, Nazaryan became the first Olympic gold medalist for the country. He was recognized by the FILA as the best wrestler of the year in 1998 and 2003. In 2007, Nazaryan was inducted as a member of the FILA Hall of Fame.
Roman Amoyan is an Armenian retired Greco-Roman wrestler of Yazidi-Kurdish descent. He is an Olympic bronze medalist, three-time World Championships medalist, and two-time European Champion. Amoyan received the Honored Master of Sports of Armenia title in 2009.
Yury Patrikeyev is an Armenian-Russian Greco-Roman wrestler. He is an Olympic and World Championships medalist and four-time European Champion. Patrikeyev has been awarded the Master of Sport of Russia, International Class title.

Besik Serodinovich Kudukhov was a Russian freestyle wrestler of Ossetian descent. He won a bronze medal in the 55 kg category at the 2008 Olympics. He also won a silver medal in the 60 kg category at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
Yusup Rashidovich Abdusalamov is a USSR-born Russian and Tajik wrestler, who won a silver medal, at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
Khetag Gazyumov is retired Russian and Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler of Ossetian origin. Competing in the 96 some kg weight category he won bronze medals at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics and a silver at the 2016 Rio Games. He also won four gold and four silver medal at the European and world championships in 2009–2014 and a gold medal at the 2015 European Games.
Soslan Petrovich Andiyev was a Soviet heavyweight freestyle wrestler. He was an Olympic champion in 1976 and 1980, world champion in 1973, 1975, 1977 and 1978, European champion in 1974, 1975 and 1982, and Soviet champion in 1973–78 and 1980. He won the World Cup in 1976 and 1981, but missed the 1984 Olympics due to their boycott by the Soviet Union and retired the same year. After that he first worked as a national wrestling coach, but in 1989 returned to his native Ossetia to become a sports functionary. In 1990–98, he served as vice-president of the Russian Olympic Committee. In 2006 he was inducted into the FILA Wrestling Hall of Fame.
János Varga was a Hungarian wrestler and both an Olympic champion and world champion in Greco-Roman wrestling.
Levan Tediashvili is a former Soviet (Georgian) wrestler and Olympic champion in Freestyle wrestling in 1972 and 1976. He remained undefeated between 1971 and 1976. Besides freestyle wrestling, he was also a Soviet and world champion in sambo.
Ibragim Risoyevich Khasanov was a Soviet sprint canoer, born in Stalinabad, who competed in the early to mid-1960s. Competing in two Summer Olympics, he earned his best finish of fourth in the K-1 1000 m event at Rome in 1960. Khasanov won a silver medal in the K-1 4 x 500 m event at the 1963 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Jajce. He was a member of the Dushanbe team of the Spartak voluntary sports society.
Denís Tsargúsh, is a Russian freestyle wrestler. He is a three-time European Champion, three-time World Champion and also won a bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He is a Grand Master of Sports in Freestyle Wrestling.

Mnatsakan Iskandaryan is a former Armenian Greco-Roman wrestler who competed for the Soviet Union and Russia. Iskandaryan is an Olympic Champion, three-time World Champion, and two-time European Champion. He earned the rank Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR in 1991 and was named Honoured Coach of Russia in 2000. In 2012, Iskandaryan was inducted into the FILA Hall of Fame as the sole Greco-Roman inductee. He's the second Armenian to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, after Armen Nazaryan.
Nikolay Fyodorovich Balboshin is a retired Soviet heavyweight Greco-Roman wrestler. He rarely lost a bout in the 1970s, winning five world titles, six European titles, and an Olympics gold medal in 1976. At the 1976 Olympics he pinned all his five opponents, in total spending less than 17 minutes on the mat. He was the Soviet flag bearer and a clear favorite at the Moscow Olympics, but injured an Achilles tendon in the second bout and withdrew from the tournament. He recovered by 1984, when he won his last Soviet title and was selected for the 1984 Games, but could not compete because of the 1984 Summer Olympics boycott by the Soviet Union. He retired from competitions to become a wrestling coach n Moscow. In 2006 he was inducted into the FILA International Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Mikhail Mamiashvili is a Russian wrestler of Georgian origin. He won an Olympic gold medal in Greco-Roman wrestling in 1988 in Seoul, South Korea, competing for the Soviet Union.
Marek Švec is an amateur Greco-Roman wrestler from the Czech Republic. He is a three-time Olympian, and also, a multiple-time medalist at both the World and European Championships. He also won the bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
Denis Mikolayovich Forov is a retired Armenian Greco-Roman wrestler. He was on the Ukrainian national wrestling team as a cadet and the Russian national wrestling team as a junior.
Stefan Reichmuth is a Swiss freestyle wrestler. He won one of the bronze medals in the men's 86 kg event at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. As a result, he became the first Swiss competitor to win a medal at the World Wrestling Championships.
