If I'm the Devil... is the fourth and final studio album by American rock band Letlive, released globally through Epitaph Records on June 10, 2016. Recorded throughout 2015, it is their first album since the departure of guitarist and percussionist Jean Nascimento, who had been a member of the band from 2007 to 2014.
On September 25, 2015, the band posted a tweet confirming that they had completed their fourth album and that it would be released in 2016. On the same day, they also confirmed that further additions to their 'Renditions' project/album would be put on hold temporarily in order to focus on the new album. [1]
On November 3, 2015, in a Revolver magazine online article, letlive. disclosed that their fourth studio album would be entitled If I'm the Devil....
The album was officially announced on April 6, 2016, on which day the album's artwork, track listing and release date were revealed. Pre-orders for the album became available on iTunes and Google Play shortly after. The first single from the album, "Good Mourning, America" was also released on the same day. [2] [3]
In an interview with Rock Sound, lead vocalist Jason Aalon Butler commented on record's sound, stating "it's a Letlive record, so obviously there's always going to be an element of aggression and rock 'n' roll present, but there is a lot of new stuff going on musically. There are elements of new wave, as well as some really dark hip-hop and soul influences, and even some indie references. We've always mixed things up and experimented, and this record is no different." [4]
Writing the album proved to be difficult for the band members, who engaged in conflict over musical differences. Jason Aalon Butler, in an interview with Revolver Magazine, stated that "we got into a bunch of arguments when we were writing this record. Some of us wanted to do our punk songs and some of us wanted to do our more rock songs. Me, I wanted to do some shit that sounded like Kanye [West] meets Royal Blood or something. But then we started to let go and just said, 'Fuck it, let's write the song and see how we feel about it when it's done.'" These musical differences resulted in an album that was "like a more advanced version of the sort of rock and soul approach that we've been trying to follow. We finally got to really explore using all these other instruments and sounds in our music - there are acoustic elements, there are electronic elements like Radiohead or A Tribe Called Quest might have used, there’s things like the sound of us slapping desks and walls... we just tried everything". Butler also commented on the vocals he had tracked for the album, stating that "I'm singing a lot more than I'm screaming - which I'm very excited about because it's something I've wanted to do for the past few years."
Lyrically, the album is described as being "easily the most politically and socially-minded record [we've] done." The track "Reluctantly Dead" has a particular focus on authority figures that abuse their power. Butler stated that "in the song, I put myself in the eyes and the heart of that type of person and I try to understand that they're still human at their core. I think if I can realize that these people are human beings, too, then maybe I can work toward creating some sort of change." [5] The chorus of opening song I've Learned To Love Myself contains the line "I've learned to love myself, I've learned to love my self-abandonment" which is reference to the track Younger from the band's last album where a similar line can be found in the bridge.

Motörhead is the debut studio album by English rock band Motörhead. The band currently consists of Dan "Soupy" Campbell, Casey Cavaliere, Matt Brasch, Josh Martin, Nick Steinborn and Mike Kennedy. Their name originates from a paper that Campbell read that was written by one of his after-school educators titled "The Wonder Years."
One More Megabyte is the ninth studio album by the English punk rock band Toy Dolls. After the release of Orcastrated (1995), the band's bassist John "K'Cee" Casey left the band and was replaced with Gary "Gary Fun" Dunn. Fake History is the second studio album by American rock band Letlive and the first written and recorded with Jason Aalon Butler (vocals), Jean Nascimento (guitar), Jeff Sahyoun (guitar), Ryan Jay Johnson and Anthony Rivera (drums). Originally released on Tragic Hero Records in April 2010, it was re-released by Epitaph Records April 12, 2011, with three additional tracks.
If Not Now, When? is the seventh studio album by American rock band Incubus, released on July 12, 2011 and named after the novel by Primo Levi. Preceded by the singles "Adolescents" and "Promises, Promises", the album represented the band's longest gap between studio albums at the time, and their final full-length release through long-time label Epic Records. Speak Like You Talk is the debut studio album by American rock band Letlive. Even though there are 12 songs on the album, there at 69 tracks in total. Of these tracks, eight are individual full-length songs, 3 tracks make up the collective song "2 in 6.8 Billion", and 58 tracks make up the hidden song which is revealed as "You are Not Your Username" followed by a Roman numetal for each track. In the CD cover, under the lyrics for "2 in 6.8 Billion", it reads "this is fellowship not follow ship not to be confused as this ships bow martyr". Which is what the hidden song opens with. The mention of martyrs is uncanny to the first track of Letlive's next album.
The Blackest Beautiful is the third studio album by American rock band Letlive. It was released by Epitaph Records on July 9, 2013. Recorded between June 2012 and January 2013, the album used four drum sessions, and went through ten recording engineers before settling on Stephen George. The drums were recorded with session musician Christopher Crandall, in the absence of the band having a permanent drummer at the time. The album incorporated a variety of music styles based on its members, including punk rock, funk, and soul; it was mastered and mixed to have a "more human" and "organic" sound.
"Try It Out" is a song by the American record producers Skrillex and Alvin Risk. It was released on 14 October 2013, as the lead single from Skrillex's debut album Recess, through Big Beat, Owsla and Atlantic Records. The Neon Mix acts as the single, although several versions are available.

No Closer to Heaven is the fifth studio album by American rock band the Wonder Years. Struggling with writer's block, vocalist Daniel Campbell spoke with several friends who were in bands for inspiration. No Closer to Heaven is a concept album, detailing the loss of a loved one. The album was recorded between March and April 2015. It was produced by Steve Evetts at The Omen Room. "Cardinals" was released as a single in June, followed by "Cigarettes & Saints" a month later. "I Don't Like Who I Was Then" was made available for streaming in August. "Thanks for the Ride" was made available for streaming in early September. No Closer to Heaven was released through Hopeless on September 4. The Target edition featured two additional tracks.
The discography of Letlive, an American rock band, consists of four studio albums, one extended play (EP), four singles and seven music videos. Letlive was formed in Los Angeles, California in 2002 and released its debut EP Exhaustion, Salt Water, and Everything in Between on At One Records the following year. In 2005, the band released its full-length debut album Speak Like You Talk. After a number of lineup changes, the group signed with Tragic Hero Records and released its second studio album Fake History in 2010.
Fever 333 is an American rock band formed in Inglewood, California, in July 2017. The three-piece band was founded by former Letlive vocalist Jason Aalon Butler, former the Chariot guitarist Stephen Harrison and Night Verses drummer Aric Improta.
Uncovered is the sixth and final solo studio album from English singer-songwriter Steve Harley, released on 21 February 2020.
