"Ignite" is the debut single by Norwegian music producer K-391 featuring Norwegian DJ Alan Walker,Norwegian singer Julie Bergan and South Korean singer Seungri. It was released on 11 May 2018. [1]
"Ignite" is a reimagining of K391's 2015 hit "Godzilla" featuring Marvin Divine. In 2017,the track was reworked in collaboration with Alan Walker,for a promotion of the launch of the Sony Xperia XZs smartphone. An article mentioned:"“Ignite,”is quite an explosive,and heartwarming concoction. With a full injection of pitched-up,memorable synth progressions and passionate verses by Julie Bergan." [2]
The music video of Ignite,released on K-391's channel on 11 May 2018 (the same day as the single's release),depicts three young people stuck in various troubles –the first one continually picked on by bullies;another despised their work with waste management;and a third was harassed by a boss about not working hard or fast enough. However,they each found a set of headphones that took them to a destination that relieved them of their struggles and helped them find their true happiness at last. [3]

Alan Olav Walker is a Norwegian DJ and record producer. Raised in Bergen, Norway, he began making music using feedback from his fans online around 2012, subsequently posting several videos on YouTube and SoundCloud. Starting out as a bedroom producer, he was better known as DJ Walkzz before signing a record deal and releasing his debut single "Fade" on NoCopyrightSounds at the age of 17. He later signed with MER Musikk and released "Faded", a rework of "Fade". The song topped multiple music charts and reached number one in over 10 countries. Julie Bergan is a Norwegian singer and songwriter born in Skien, Norway. Bergan started releasing covers on YouTube at the age of 16, eventually signing a record deal with Warner Music Norway in 2013. In 2015 she attained mainstream success in Denmark and Germany with her single "All Hours", before breaking through in her native Norway in 2016 with "Arigato" peaking at number one. Bergan's major-label debut album Turn On the Light was released in 2018. She returned to the number one spot in 2018 on VG-lista after collaborating with K-391, Alan Walker and Seungri on "Ignite".

It is a sequel to Walker's single "Alone" (2016). Many remixes of the song were published, among which those by Rave Republic, Toby Romeo, RetroVision, Da Tweekaz, and one by Alex Skrindo, in collaboration with Sebastian Wibe. Much like the original, "Alone, Pt. II" also garnered critical acclaim. The song reached the top 10 in Belgium, The Czech Republic, Norway, Poland, and Romania. A sequel to the song titled "Better Off " was released on 28 September, 2023.
