The India women's national rugby union team is the national team representing India in women's international rugby union. They played their first test against Singapore in 2018. [1] They have only played four Tests to date and are ranked 50th by World Rugby. [2]

Subedar Amit Panghal is an Indian Army Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) and an amateur boxer. He won silver medal at the 2019 AIBA World Boxing Championships in the Flyweight division. Panghal won a gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games. Amit Panghal has received top seeding in the 52 kg category. Amit Panghal is the reigning Asian Games champion and a world championships silver-medalist Asian Elite Boxing Championships Panghal failed to defend his gold medal, that he won in 2019, against reigning Olympic and world champion Shakhobidin Zoirov of Uzbekistan to finish second-best in Dubai.

The Philippines has competed in ten editions of the AFC Women's Asian Cup, the top tournament for women's national teams organized by members of the Asian Football Confederation. The Philippine first competed in 1981, when the tournament was still known as the "AFC Women's Championship". The national team competed again in 1983 before skipping the next three editions.

The 2019 Asia Rugby Women's Championship Div 1 was held from 19 to 22 June in Calamba, Philippines. China won the Division 1 Championship after beating the Philippines in the Final. India also created history when they defeated Singapore to record their first test match victory.

The 2018 Asia Rugby Women’s Championship Div 1 was hosted by Singapore at the Queenstown Stadium, from 2 June to 8 June. India made their international debut in the opening match against Singapore. Although active in rugby sevens, India did not have a fifteens team; fifteens was only initiated at the end of 2016. Singapore defeated the Philippines to win the Division 1 title.
