Innocent Kaia (born 10 August 1992) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. [1] He made his Twenty20 debut for Zimbabwe in the 2017 Africa T20 Cup on 15 September 2017. [2] In December 2020, he was selected to play for the Southern Rocks in the 2020–21 Logan Cup. [3] [4]
He made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut on 17 September 2021 against Scotland. [5] He made his One Day International (ODI) debut on 4 June 2022, for Zimbabwe against Afghanistan. [6] He scored his first century in ODIs during Zimbabwe's series against Bangladesh. [7]
On 4 February 2023, Kaia made his Test debut against the West Indies. [8]

The Afghanistan cricket team toured Zimbabwe in June 2022 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. In April 2022, Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed the fixtures for the tour. The following month, the tour itinerary was changed slightly, bringing the matches forward by one week and reducing the number of T20Is from five to three.
