"Internet Girl" is a single by girl group Katseye. It was released on January 2, 2026, and was produced by Mattman & Robin, Justin Tranter and Shawn Wasabi.
Katseye first teased the song on November 15, 2025, by performing it on the opening night of the Beautiful Chaos Tour. [1] Internet Girl was performed every night of the tour and was on the standard setlist. [2] On December 29, Katseye shared a comment on the performance video saying "wait should we give you one last gift before the year ends?" [3] Two days later, the group announced Internet Girl as their next single. [4]
"Internet Girl" has been described as a "raucous, rubbery dance-pop tune reminiscent of early Charli XCX". [5] The lyrics deal with the pros and cons of being in the public eye, including the thrill of receiving attention [6] and the pressures of being sexualized, compared, judged, and hated on by people online. [1] The chorus features the lyrics "Eat zucchini, eat zucchini", in reference to the eggplant emoji. [5] [6]
Pyo Kyung-min of The Korea Times described the song as a "calculated" attempt to chase controversy. Pyo contrasts the release of the song with that of the group's 2025 single "Gnarly", which was also experimental but is now considered an "artistic gamble." [7]
The group reached number 24 on the UK singles chart, making it their highest-charting song on the charts. [8] In the US, "Internet Girl" debuted and peaked at number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming their highest debuting and second highest peaking song on the chart. [9]
