Slovenia played its first official match in 1992, one year after the country gained independence from Yugoslavia. The majority of Slovenia's home matches are played at Stožice Stadium in Ljubljana.

The Ashbourne Baseball Club is Ireland's largest baseball club. It is located in Ashbourne, County Meath, and draws players from the surrounding area, including Dublin. The two group winners, Team Israel and Team Lithuania, faced off in the 2019 European Baseball Playoff Series for the last qualifying spot for the 2019 European Baseball Championship, with Team Israel prevailing.
