Aleksandar Ćirić is a Serbian retired water polo player and current head coach of European powerhouse Olympiacos Women's Water Polo Team, who played for two Olympic bronze medal squads, one for FR Yugoslavia at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, the other for Serbia at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, and one Olympic silver medal squad for Serbia and Montenegro at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. His most notable achievements during his club career are: winning the Euroleague with VK Bečej in 2000, when he gained the title of MVP of competition; and four LEN Cups, three with Brescia and one with VK Radnički Kragujevac.

Andrija Prlainović is a Serbian professional water polo player widely regarded as one of the greatest players ever. He was a member of the Serbia men's national water polo teams that won bronze medals at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics and gold medals in 2016 and 2020. He also held the world title in 2009 and 2015 and the European title in 2006, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018. In 2011, he won the LEN Euroleague with VK Partizan and in 2013 with Red Star Belgrade, where he was one of the best scorers.
Aleksandar Ivović, is a Montenegrin professional water polo player. He started his career at PVK Jadran, which is his first senior team to compete for. He was a member of the Montenegro men's national water polo team at the 2008 Summer Olympics. The team reached the semifinals, where they were defeated by Hungary and then lost to Serbia in the bronze medal match. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he was again a member of Montenegro's team, where they lost to Croatia in the semi-final, and then lost to Serbia again in the bronze medal match, this time 11–12. He is considered one of the best defenders of all time and by many the top in his position in the world as he can transform the entire defense of his team.
Nikola Janović is a Montenegrin water polo player and the former Minister of Sports and Youth of Montenegro. He was one of the best water polo player in the world. He was a captain of the Montenegro men's national water polo team and a World and European champion with SRJ, Serbia and Montenegro, and Montenegro. He is a member of the Parliament of Montenegro.
Ivica "Ivo" Cipci is a retired Croatian water polo player. He was part of the Yugoslav teams that won silver medals at the 1956 Olympics and 1958 European Championships. At the 1956 Olympics he played all seven matches and was the tournament's top scorer.

Kristijan Milaković (born April 21, 1992) is a Croatian professional water polo player who currently plays for Savona of the Serie A1 (water polo). He also represents the Croatia men's national water polo team. Although his primary positions are left or right flat(driver), he is polivalent player and he can play as Hole D as well. He is 203 cm tall and 105 kg heavy but his main advantage and the fact with whom he is making difference among other water polo players in the pool is 220 cm long arm span (reach).

The first team which ever competed at the European cups was VK Primorac Kotor. Except them, in LEN competitions played also PVK Jadran Herceg Novi, VK Budva, VA Cattaro Kotor and PVK Val Prčanj.
The biggest success in the history of Montenegrin waterpolo was that of VK Primorac, who won the title in LEN Champions League 2009. Another Montenegrin holder of European trophy is VA Cattaro.

Nikola Brkić is a professional water polo player of Montenegro. Brkić started his career at PVK Jadran.
Andrija Komadina is a Croatian former professional water polo player. He was a member of the Croatia men's national water polo team, played as a defender. He was a part of the Croatian team that won the fourth place at the 2005 World Championship and the fourth plaće at the 2006 World Cup. On club level, he played most notably for VK Šibenik, HAVK Mladost, VK Jug Dubrovnik and VK Solaris in Croatia, as well as for Olympiacos in Greece. As a member of Jug Dubrovnik, he won the 2005–06 LEN Euroleague and as a member of Olympiacos from 2006 to 2011 he won 5 Greek Championships (2007–2011), 5 Greek Cups (2007–2011) and the fourth place in the Final Four of the 2006–07 LEN Euroleague. He is currently the president of VK Vodice. He is 6 ft 5 in tall and weighs 240 lb (110 kg).
