JAT Holdings PLC is a Sri Lanka based multinational paint company headquartered in Thalawathugoda, Sri Lanka. [2] [3] [4] The company is engaged in the business of manufacturing, selling and distribution of paints, wood coatings and products related to the retail and industrial sectors. [5] [6] [7] As of 2016, it has the largest market share with 75% in the Sri Lankan paint industry. [8] [9]
The company was started in 1993 by Joyce Gunawardene, Aelian Gunawardene and Tyrone Gunawardene [10] and named the company from the initials of the three founding brothers. The company first became the principal agent of the Italian multinational company Sayerlack and introduced polyurethane coatings in Sri Lanka. [11] In 2002, the company set up a large scale manufacturing plant in Kahathuduwa. [12]
In 2015, the company acquired Ceynox Networks, an information technology company and created the JAT Technologies. [13] In 2017, the company signed cricketer Rangana Herath as their brand ambassador. [14]

The company is a manufacturer of paints and coatings; [17] and also a distributor of brands including Sayerlack, Harris, BormaWachs, Norton, Brush Master, Masters, J CHEM. The company entered the real estate development in 1995 and developed residential colonies in the country. [21]

Swisstek (Ceylon) PLC is a tile grout and tile mortar manufacturing company in Sri Lanka. The company was established in 1967 as Parquet (Ceylon) Ltd to manufacture parquetry. Parquet (Ceylon) signed an agreement with Switzerland-based Bauwerk AG for technology collaboration and started supplying for the domestic and foreign markets under the brand name "Swissparkett". In 2013, Royal Ceramics acquired 80% of the stake in Lanka Ceramic, thus bringing Lanka Tiles under the umbrella of the Vallibel One Group. The company capitalised on an anti-dumping duty imposed by the government of the United States on goods originating in China and started exporting mosaic tiles to the United States. Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC is a porcelain tableware manufacturing company based in Dankotuwa, Sri Lanka. Dankotuwa Porcelain was incorporated in 1984 as a subsidiary of Ceylon Ceramics Corporation. Dankotuwa Porcelain was one of the four public enterprises that were privatised in December 1990. The company was converted to a public company in 1994 and listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange later in the same year. Environmental Resources Investment acquired the company in 2010 for a consideration of LKR433 million. Dankotuwa Porcelain acquired Royal Fernwood Porcelain from Browns Group in December 2013 for LKR305 million.

The company was incorporated in 2000 as Capital Asia Markets Ltd, a subsidiary of Asia Capital Ltd. The company changed its name to Capital Alliance Limited two years later.
