JMall (Chinese :JMall食尚廣場) is a shopping center located in Xitun District, Taichung, Taiwan that opened in 2011. [1] In 2017, the mall closed for renovation and reopened on 15 June 2018 as a dining hub featuring a wide variety of eateries from fast food joints to other upscale venues. Main core stores in the mall include Tim Ho Wan, Formosa Chang, Yi Fang Tea and various themed restaurants. [2] [3]

Incidents

The Taichung Fire Department received a report at 2:44 pm on 16 August 2020 that a substation fire accident was reported at JMall. A power substation outside the building behind the mall was short-circuited with popping sound and fire. The fire station dispatched 5 fire trucks, 1 ambulance, and 15 firefighters. [4]

Daan King Building, or Ta Ann King Building, is a skyscraper office building located in South District, Taichung, Taiwan. The height of the building is 151 m (495 ft), with a floor area of 56,850 m2 (611,900 sq ft), and it comprises 42 floors above ground, as well as four basement levels. The building was completed in 1994 and was one of the earliest skyscrapers in Taichung as well as the first building to reach more than 40 floors in the city. Daan King Building and Daan International Building located on the opposite side of the road are commonly known as Taichung Twin Towers, as the two buildings have almost the same appearance, however their completion dates are different by three years. As of January 2021, it is the 20th tallest building in Taichung.

The Ding Sheng BHW Taiwan Central Plaza is a skyscraper office building located in Taichung's 7th Redevelopment Zone, Xitun District, Taichung, Taiwan. The height of the building is 158.9 m (521 ft), the floor area is 104,138 m2 (1,120,930 sq ft), and it comprises 36 floors above ground, as well as six basement levels. Construction of the building began in 2012 and it was completed in 2015. The building is designed by EHS ArchiLab and Hsuyuan Kuo Architects & Associates and located next to the Tiger City shopping mall. As of February 2021, it is the 14th tallest building in Taichung and 43rd tallest in Taiwan.

The Windsor Hotel Taichung is a set of twin skyscrapers completed in 2005 in Xitun District, Taichung, Taiwan. Tower A houses the five-star Windsor Hotel, it has an architectural height of 123 m (404 ft) and it comprises 26 floors above ground. Tower B houses the corporate headquarters of Pou Chen Corporation and has an architectural height of 120 m (390 ft) and it comprises 23 floors above ground.

The T1 League is a Taiwanese men's professional basketball league founded in 2021. It is the third professional basketball league in Taiwan after the Chinese Basketball Alliance (CBA) and the P. League+ (PLG).
