Courtney Andrew Walsh OJ is a Jamaican former cricketer who represented the West Indies from 1984 to 2001,captaining the West Indies in 22 Test matches. He is a fast bowler and considered one of the all-time greats,best known for a remarkable opening bowling partnership along with fellow West Indian Curtly Ambrose for several years. Walsh played 132 Tests and 205 ODIs for the West Indies and took 519 and 227 wickets respectively. He shared 421 Test wickets with Ambrose in 49 matches. He held the record of most Test wickets from 2000,after he broke the record of Kapil Dev. This record was later broken in 2004 by Shane Warne. He was the first bowler to reach 500 wickets in Test cricket. His autobiography is entitled "Heart of the Lion". Walsh was named one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1987. In October 2010,he was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame. He was appointed as the Specialist Bowling Coach of Bangladesh Cricket Team in August 2016.

A highly skilled bowler,an aggressive batsman and an excellent fielder,he is widely considered to be cricket's greatest ever all-rounder and one of the greatest cricketers of all time.
Sir Isaac Vivian Alexander Richards is a retired Antiguan cricketer who represented the West Indies cricket team between 1974 and 1991. Usually batting at number three in a dominant West Indies side,Richards is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen of all time. Richards was part of the squads that won the 1975 Cricket World Cup and 1979 Cricket World Cup and finished as runners-up in the 1983 Cricket World Cup.
Michael Anthony Holding is a Jamaican former cricketer and commentator who played for the West Indies cricket team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest pace bowlers in cricket history,he was nicknamed "Whispering Death" due to his undramatic but effective bowling style. Holding was a key member of the West Indies team that won the 1979 Cricket World Cup,as well as finishing as runners-up at the 1983 Cricket World Cup. He had the most wickets for his team at the 1979 tournament. His bowling action was renowned for being smooth and extremely fast,and he used his height to generate large amounts of bounce and zip off the pitch. He was part of the fearsome West Indian pace bowling battery,together with Andy Roberts,Joel Garner,Colin Croft,Wayne Daniel,Malcolm Marshall and Sylvester Clarke,that devastated opposing batting line-ups throughout the world in the late seventies and early eighties. Early in his Test career,in 1976,Holding broke the record for best bowling figures in a Test match by a West Indies bowler,14 wickets for 149 runs (14/149). The record still stands. During his first-class cricket career,Holding played for Jamaica,Canterbury,Derbyshire,Lancashire,and Tasmania. In September 2021,Holding announced his retirement from being a commentator.
Greville Thomas Scott Stevens was an English amateur cricketer who played for Middlesex,the University of Oxford and England. A leg-spin and googly bowler and attacking batsman,he captained England in one Test match,in South Africa in 1927. He was widely regarded as one of the leading amateur cricketers of his generation who,because of his commitments outside cricket,was unable to fulfil his potential and left the game early.
Leslie George Hylton was a Jamaican cricketer,a right-arm bowler and useful lower-order batsman who played in six Test matches for the West Indies between 1935 and 1939. In May 1955 he was hanged for the murder of his wife,whom he had shot in a jealous rage a year earlier.

Following a neck injury to Ravi Rampaul,which forced him out of the match,Gabriel made his Test match debut for West Indies in May 2012,against England at Lord's. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut on 21 June 2016 against Australia. He is the first player to bat at No.12 in a Test match. On 28 August 2024,Gabriel announced his retirement from international cricket.
George Alphonso Headley OD,MBE was a West Indian cricketer who played 22 Test matches,mostly before World War II. Considered one of the best batsmen to play for the West Indies and one of the greatest cricketers of all time,Headley also represented Jamaica and played professional club cricket in England. West Indies had a weak cricket team through most of Headley's playing career;as their one world-class player,he carried a heavy responsibility and the side depended on his batting. He batted at number three,scoring 2,190 runs in Tests at an average of 60.83,and 9,921 runs in all first-class matches at an average of 69.86. He was chosen as one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1934.
Rahkeem Rashawn Shane Cornwall is an Antiguan cricketer. A right-arm off-break bowler,Cornwall has played for Leeward Islands cricket team and featured in the line-up for the Antigua Hawksbills in the Caribbean Premier League. In August 2019,Cricket West Indies named him as the Championship Player of the Year. Later the same month,he made his international debut for the West Indies cricket team. He also set the record for the heaviest cricketer to play Test cricket,weighing more than 140 kg. For the Leewards Islands,he is their second highest wicket-taker in both First Class and List A cricket,while only Kieran Powell has scored more than his four List A hundreds for the side.
Jermaine Blackwood is a Jamaican cricketer. He made his Test cricket debut for the West Indies against New Zealand in June 2014. He made his One Day International debut for the West Indies against Sri Lanka on 4 November 2015. He is vice-captain of West Indies test team.

The England cricket team toured the West Indies between January and March 2019 to play three Tests,five One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The series included England's first Test match in Saint Lucia,when they played at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground. It was also England's first tour to the West Indies to play all three formats of international cricket since they visited in 2009. The ODI fixtures were part of both teams' preparation for the 2019 Cricket World Cup.
