Jacques Henry Kallis OIS is a South African cricket coach and former professional cricketer. Widely regarded as one of the greatest cricketers of all time and as one of the greatest all-rounders ever to play the game,he was a right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium swing bowler. As of 2024,Kallis is the only cricketer in the history of the game to score more than 10,000 runs and take over 250 wickets in both ODI and Test match cricket. He has also taken 131 ODI catches. Kyle David Mills is a New Zealand cricket coach and former international cricketer who is the former bowling coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders. Dale Willem Steyn is a South African former professional cricketer who played for the South African cricket team. He is regarded by many as the greatest bowler of the Modern Era. Many cricketing legends have regarded his length deliveries unplayable when the ball swung. In December 2015 he injured his shoulder in the Durban Test against England ;after this injury his career was a short lived one as it was followed by multiple injuries;these injuries were the reason why many cricketing greats didn't even consider post 2015 Steyn as "The Dale Steyn" which the batsmen feared to face. He was featured in Wisden Cricketers of the Decade at the end of 2019. He also was included in the ICC Test Team of the Decade at the end of 2020.
The New Zealand cricket team toured South Africa for cricket matches in the 2005–06 season. Owing to South Africa's busy schedule,the tour was split into two legs,one to be played in October 2005 with the six limited overs matches,and the second leg to be played in April and May 2006,including three Test matches. Before the limited overs series began,New Zealand were ranked third on the ICC ODI Championship table,two places ahead of their hosts South Africa. However,New Zealand had never won an ODI series in South Africa before this tour,and they were not to do it this summer either. In fact,New Zealand did not win a single one of the five matches,and only the rain –which sent the fourth match into a no-result –prevented the Kiwis from going down 0–5. The test series was similarly disappointing for New Zealand,with South Africa claiming it 2-0. After two series losses to Australia it was a satisfying result for the South Africans.

He is a right-arm medium-fast bowler and a hard-hitting lower order batsman. The third New Zealand bowler to take 300 Test wickets,he was one of the country's youngest cricketers,debuting at the age of 19 in February 2008. On his Test debut against England he took 5 wickets and made 77 off 40 balls in the second innings. He plays for Northern Districts in the Plunket Shield,Ford Trophy and Super Smash as well as Northland in the Hawke Cup. He was named as New Zealand's captain for the first T20I against West Indies in place of Kane Williamson,who was rested for that game. The Blackcaps won that match by 47 runs. Southee was a member of the New Zealand team that won the 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship. Southee currently has the highest (international) test batting strike rate among the batsmen with a minimum of 2000 test runs. His (batting) career strike rate is 83.12. He was also a part of the New Zealand squads to finish as runners-up in two Cricket World Cup finals in 2015 and 2019.
