Jahanabad-e Olya (Persian : جهان ابادعليا‎, also Romanized as Jahānābād-e ‘Olyā; also known as Jahānābād-e Bālā)^[1] is a village in Jahanabad Rural District, in the Central District of Hirmand County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 192, in 36 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Jahanabad Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Hirmand County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 16,438, in 3,178 families. The rural district has 62 villages.
