Jalilabad (Persian : جليل اباد‎, also Romanized as Jalīlābād; also known as Dzhalalabad and Jalālābād)^[1] is a village in Qareh Poshtelu-e Bala Rural District, Qareh Poshtelu District, Zanjan County, Zanjan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 322, in 81 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

At the 2006 census, its population was 13,915, in 3,250 families; excluding Armaghankhaneh, the population was 12,334, in 2,874 families. The rural district has 33 villages.

Qareh Poshtelu District is a district (bakhsh) in Zanjan County, Zanjan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 17,153, in 3,934 families. The District has one city: Armaghankhaneh. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Qareh Poshtelu-e Bala Rural District and Qareh Poshtelu-e Pain Rural District.
