James Phillips (also known as "Mr Highkick") is a German heavyweight kickboxer of African American descent [1] , currently competing in K-1. He was born on June 11, 1980. He is a former European Muay Thai champion and two-time K-1 Croatia tournament champion. He was trained by Michael Damboer and fights out of Thai-Bombs Mannheim. [2]
James Phillips was born in 1980 in Mannheim, Germany, to a German mother and African American father. [3] He started his martial arts training at the age of 13, studying karate and kickboxing for 4 years before moving on to Muay Thai in 1997 with the Thai-Bombs Mannheim e.V, becoming the European Muay Thai champion in 2002. He has also competed in amateur boxing.
He is married and the father of two girls.
He is the owner and one of the coaches of "Team Phillips Fight & Fitness", along with Elias Handke, Mahir Tan, Sylvia Krüger, Markus R, Markus Knoop, Endre Piller, Isabel Knoop, and Francesco Palermo. [4]

K-1 Grand Prix '93 was a martial arts event held by the K-1 organization on April 30, 1993, at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan. It was the inaugural K-1 World Grand Prix, featuring an eight-man tournament fought under K-1 rules. The eight tournament qualifiers were all invited on the basis of their achievements in the kickboxing world. As well as tournament matches there was also a full contact karate bout between Andy Hug and Nobuaki Kakuda. The event featured ten fights with fighters representing seven countries. The winner was Branko Cikatić who defeated Ernesto Hoost in the final by first-round knockout, becoming the first K-1 World champion.

José 'The Devil's Advocate' Reis is a Portuguese Muay Thai kickboxer of Cape Verdean descent fighting out of Lisbon, Portugal for Olival Gym at either welterweight or super middleweight. He is the 2010 W.F.C.A. Full Contact world champion and a x2 K-1 MAX regional champion who has fought for both the K-1 MAX and SuperLeague organizations. His younger brother, Luis Reis, is also a successful kickboxer.
Andrei "Bullet" Kulebin is a Belarusian Muay Thai welterweight kickboxer fighting out of Minsk, Belarus for Gym "Kick Fighter". He is an 18 time Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion who has won international titles both at amateur and professional level from 51 kg to 67 kg and is considered one of the top pound for pound Muay Thai fighters outside of Thailand. In 2007 he was the first Muay Thai fighter in Belarus to be awarded the "Honored Master of Sport" by the countries president.

He has begun practicing Kyokushin Karate in early childhood at the age of six. Shortly he became a Ukrainian champion in the youth division. At the age of 17 he started practicing Muay Thai.
Ciprian Sora is a Romanian kickboxing trainer and founder of the Golden Glory Romania gym in Bucharest. As an athlete, he became the first ever Romanian to win a gold medal at the Muay Thai world championships in 1999 and still holds the record for that. Sora had an amateur record of 75–5, being undefeated in Romania throughout his career before turning professional. He signed with Local Kombat, the future SUPERKOMBAT, in 2004.
