James D. "Jim" Wilson [1] is an American politician who served as a Colorado State Representative for the 60th district from January 9,2013 to January 13,2021. [2] Representative Wilson's district included all or parts of Colorado counties of Chaffee County,Custer County,Fremont County,and Park County. He is a member of the Republican Party.
Wilson earned his BA in history,physical education,and social studies from Southwestern College.
After Mr. Wilson graduated from Southwestern College,he chose a life in education. He spent a total of 41 years in education. [3] During his time in education,Jim Wilson would serve as the school's Superintendent in Cortez,Colorado and Salida,Colorado. [3] Jim Wilson would retire from his education posts in 2012. [3]

Morgan Lenore Carroll is an American politician from Colorado and was the Chairwoman of the Colorado Democratic Party. A Democrat,Carroll represented Colorado House District 36 in the city of Aurora from 2004 to 2008,and she represented the state's 29th Senate district from 2009 to 2017. Carroll served as President of the Colorado State Senate from 2013 to 2014 and as minority leader in 2015. Carroll stepped down as minority leader in July 2015 to unsuccessfully run against incumbent Republican Mike Coffman for Colorado's 6th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. In addition to her legislative work,Carroll works for the law firm of Bachus &Schanker.
The politics of Colorado,United States,are that of a blue state. Once considered a swing state that used to be Republican-leaning,Colorado has been trending Democratic since the early part of the 21st century due to changing demographics and a rising number of the large unaffiliated bloc of voters leaning Democratic.
