Jane Wright (born 23 March 1955) is a Canadian former breaststroke swimmer. She competed in two events, 100 and 200 breaststroke at the 1972 Summer Olympics. [1]

The women's 200 metre breaststroke event, included in the swimming competition at the 1956 Summer Olympics, took place on November 29–30, at the Swimming and Diving Stadium. In this event, swimmers covered four lengths of the 50-metre (160 ft) Olympic-sized pool employing the breaststroke. It was the seventh appearance of the event, which first appeared at the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris. A total of 14 competitors from 10 nations participated in the event. This was a decrease from the 1952 Summer Olympics, because the breaststroke event was split into the 200m orthodox breaststroke and the 100m butterfly event.

Carol Jane "Penny" Pence Taylor, also known by her married name Penny Taylor, is an American former competition swimmer who represented the United States at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London. She competed in the preliminary heats of the women's 200-meter breaststroke, and finished with a time of 3:28.1. Pence swam for the Lafayette Swim Club in Indiana and attended Purdue University. In 1951, when Pence was a finalist for the James E. Sullivan Award, she was part of the US Team for the first Pan American Games in 1951, winning a gold medal in the 3×100 meter medley relay and a bronze medal in the 200 meter breaststroke.

As of 2006, she currently holds a New Zealand record of 1:09.26 in the 100 m breaststroke from the World Championship Trials in Auckland. In the same year she helped out the New Zealand team to pull off a fourth-place effort in the medley relay at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia, with a record-breaking time of 4:06.30.
Leonard Ngoma is a Zambian former swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke events. He attended Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida, and later represented his homeland Zambia at the 2000 Summer Olympics. While studying in the United States, Ngoma played for the Wright State Raiders swimming and diving team at Wright State University in Fairborn, Ohio, and trained with his partner and newly hired assistant coach Sion Brinn, a two-time Olympian who held a dual citizenship to compete for Jamaica and Great Britain.
