Kongala Liyanage Janith Vimukthi (born 12 July 1995), is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer who currently plays limited overs cricket for the national team. He made his international debut for the Sri Lanka cricket team in February 2022. [1] He is a past pupil of Lalith Ahulathmudali Maha Vidyalaya and St. Peter's College, Colombo.

Domestic career

He made his first-class debut for Ragama Cricket Club in the 2014–15 Premier Trophy on 16 January 2015. [2]

In March 2018, he was named in Galle's squad for the 2017–18 Super Four Provincial Tournament. [3] [4] The following month, he was also named in Galle's squad for the 2018 Super Provincial One Day Tournament. [5] In November 2021, he was selected to play for the Dambulla Giants following the players' draft for the 2021 Lanka Premier League And he awarded from the emerging player of the tournemant. [6]

International career

In January 2022, he was named in Sri Lanka's Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their series against Australia. [7] He made his T20I debut on 20 February 2022, for Sri Lanka against Australia. [8]

He made his ODI debut during the 2024 Zimbabwe tour of Sri Lanka. In the second ODI he made 95 runs while chasing and won player of the match for his match winning performance. [9] Sri Lanka finally won the series 2–0 and Liyanage was adjudged player of the series.

In March 2024, he was selected in Srilanka's ODI squad for a series against Bangladesh. [10] In the first ODI, he scored 67 runs off 69 balls. [11] In the third ODI,he managed to score his maiden ODI century.

In May 2024, he was named as a reserve player in Sri Lanka’s squad for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament. [12]

He has represented the Sri Lanka national cricket team in limited over international matches. He is the elder brother of Sri Lankan All-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva.

Pathira Vasan Dushmantha Chameera is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer who plays for all three formats for the national team, and plays domestically for Nondescripts Cricket Club. He made his international debut for Sri Lanka in January 2015.
