Jasmine Nevins (born 7 October 2003) is an Australian cricketer who currently plays for Victoria in the Women's National Cricket League (WNCL). She plays primarily as a right-arm medium bowler. [1] [2]
Nevins plays grade cricket for Plenty Valley Cricket Club. [3]
In December 2022,Nevins played for Victoria in the Cricket Australia Under-19 National Female Championships,scoring one half-century and taking four wickets. [4] [5] [6] In January 2023,Nevins was added to a senior Victoria squad for the first time. [3] She made her debut for the side on 17 January 2022,against Queensland,scoring 11 runs and bowling three overs. [7] [8] She went on to play five matches overall for the side that season,scoring 71 runs and taking one wicket. [9]
The Women's National Cricket League (WNCL) is the national domestic 50-over competition for women's cricket in Australia. Featuring seven teams—one from every state,plus the Australian Capital Territory—each season's winner is awarded the Ruth Preddy Cup. New South Wales have historically dominated the competition,appearing in the first 24 title deciders and winning 20 championships. The streak of final appearances was broken in the 2020–21 season when they finished in fourth place.
