The film follows the tale of the young entrepreneur Joy Thakkolkaran (Jayasurya) and his business venture "Punyalan Agarbattis" in the city of Thrissur. The film is produced by Jayasurya and Ranjith Sankar under the banner of Dreams N Beyond and features music composed by Bijibal.The film was a commercial success at the box-office. A sequel of the film titled 'Punyalan Private Limited' was made in 2017, and it casts many of the members of original cast.

The film stars Jayasurya in a lead role, who also co-produced the film under Dreams N Beyond. Vinod Illampally has done the cinematography and Bijibal has composed the score and soundtrack. The screenplay was written by Ranjith Sankar and Abhayakumar. The central character is inspired from a real-life person Sudheendran Avittathur. The film released on 11 November 2015 on the occasion of Diwali to positive reviews. Jayasurya won national and Kerala state special jury award for his performance.

Pretham (transl. Ghost) is a 2016 Indian Malayalam-language comedy horror drama film, written, co-produced and directed by Ranjith Sankar. Starring Jayasurya, Aju Varghese, Govind Padmasoorya, Sharaf U Dheen, Shruthi Ramachandran, Pearle Maaney, Dharmajan Bolgatty, and Hareesh Peradi in the prominent roles. It is co-produced by Sankar and Jayasurya. The film was a commercial success and in 2018 a sequel, Pretham 2 was released.

Hareesh Perumanna, known by his stage name Hareesh Kanaran, is an Indian comedian and film actor who appears in Malayalam films. He is best known for his stock character Jaliyan Kanaran which first appeared in Comedy Festival, a comedy reality show in Mazhavil Manorama.

Punyalan Private Limited is a 2017 Indian Malayalam-language political satire film written, co-produced and directed by Ranjith Sankar. It is a sequel to the 2013 film Punyalan Agarbattis and stars Jayasurya, Aju Varghese, Vijayaraghavan, Sreejith Ravi, Dharmajan Bolgatty and Guinness Pakru. Produced by Jayasurya and Sankar, the film marks the debut of their distribution company Punyalan Cinemas. The film was a blockbuster hit collecting almost twice as the first part.

The film stars Jayasurya as a trans woman named Marykutty, with Innocent, Jewel Mary, Jins Baskar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Aju Varghese and Joju George in other prominent roles. The music for the film was composed by Anand Madhusoodhanan. The film was released on 15 June 2018 on the eve of Eid.

Djibouti is a 2021 Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film co-written and directed by S. J. Sinu. The film stars Amith Chakalakkal, Shagun Jaswal, Dileesh Pothan, Jacob Gregory, Biju Sopanam, and Anjali Nair. The film was produced by Jobi P. Sam under the company Blue Hill Nael Communications and Nile & Blue Hill Motion Pictures. The film was released in theatres on 31 December 2021.
