Jeffrey Kenneth Moss (born 29 June 1947) is a former Australian cricketer who played in one Test matches and one One Day International (ODI) in 1979.
An opening batsman,Moss made his first-class cricket debut for Victoria in 1976/77 and was a steady contributor for Victoria without attracting the interest of national selectors until Australia lost many of its leading players to World Series Cricket (WSC). Moss was picked for the last Test of the 1978–79 series against Pakistan. However he was not selected for the subsequent 1979 tour of India, and dropped out of contention altogether when the WSC players returned to test cricket for the summer of 1979–80.
Moss along with Julien Wiener had a partnership of 390 at the Junction Oval against Western Australia in 1981–82. [1] This still stands as a record for the third wicket for Australians in first-class cricket.
He is married to Victorian Member of Parliament Cindy McLeish. [2]
Ian Michael Chappell is a former cricketer who played for South Australia and Australia. He captained Australia between 1971 and 1975 before taking a central role in the breakaway World Series Cricket organisation. Born into a cricketing family—his grandfather and brother also captained Australia—Chappell made a hesitant start to international cricket playing as a right-hand middle-order batsman and spin bowler. He found his niche when promoted to bat at number three. Known as "Chappelli",he earned a reputation as one of the greatest captains the game has seen. Chappell's blunt verbal manner led to a series of confrontations with opposition players and cricket administrators;the issue of sledging first arose during his tenure as captain, and he was a driving force behind the professionalisation of Australian cricket in the 1970s.
World Series Cricket (WSC) was a commercial professional cricket competition staged between 1977 and 1979 which was organised by Kerry Packer and his Australian television network,Nine Network. WSC ran in commercial competition to established international cricket. World Series Cricket drastically changed the nature of cricket, and its influence continues to be felt today.
Gregory Stephen Chappell is a former cricketer who represented Australia at international level in both Tests and One-Day Internationals (ODI). The second of three brothers to play Test cricket,Chappell was the pre-eminent Australian batsman of his time who allied elegant stroke making to fierce concentration. An exceptional all round player who bowled medium pace and,at his retirement, held the world record for the most catches in Test cricket,Chappell's career straddled two eras as the game moved toward a greater level of professionalism after the WSC schism.
David William Hookes grew up in Torrensville and was a South Australian and Australian cricketer, broadcaster and coach of the Victorian cricket team. An aggressive left-handed batsman,Hookes usually batted in the middle order. His international career got off to a sensational start in the Centenary Test at Melbourne in 1977 when he hit England captain Tony Greig for five consecutive boundaries, but a combination of circumstances ensured that he never became a regular in the Australian team. He wrote in his autobiography,"I suspect history will judge me harshly as a batsman because of my modest record in 23 Tests and I can't complain about that".
Trevor Martin Chappell is a former Australian cricketer,a member of the South Australian Chappell family which excelled at cricket. He played 3 tests and 20 One Day Internationals for Australia. He won the Sheffield Shield with New South Wales twice, and scored a century for Australia against India in the 1983 World Cup. His career was overshadowed, however,by an incident in 1981 in which he bowled an underarm delivery to New Zealand cricketer Brian McKechnie to stop the batsman from hitting a six.

Usually playing as an opening batsman,he formed a successful and long-lived partnership opening the batting for Victoria and Australia with Bill Woodfull, his friend and state and national captain. Ponsford is the only player to twice break the world record for the highest individual score in first-class cricket;Ponsford and Brian Lara are the only cricketers to twice score 400 runs in an innings. Ponsford holds the Australian record for a partnership in Test cricket, set in 1934 in combination with Don Bradman —the man who broke many of Ponsford's other individual records. In fact,he along with Bradman set the record for the highest partnership ever for any wicket in Test cricket history when playing on away soil
Ian Ritchie Redpath is a former Australian international cricketer who played in 66 Test matches and five One Day Internationals between 1964 and 1976. Greg Chappell said he was one of only two players he knew who would kill to get into the Australian Test team, the other being Rod Marsh.

Among these three pursuits, his greatest achievements were attained on the cricket field;he played in 12 Tests for Australia from 1948 to 1951. A right-handed all-rounder,Loxton was part of Don Bradman's Invincibles, who went through the 1948 tour of England undefeated,an unprecedented achievement that has never been matched. As well as being a hard-hitting middle-order batsman,Loxton was a right-arm fast-medium swing bowler who liked to aim at the upper bodies of the opposition, and an outfielder with an accurate and powerful throw. After being dropped from the national team,Loxton represented Victoria for seven more seasons before retiring from first-class cricket. He served as an administrator after his playing days were over and spent 24 years as a Liberal Party member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly. Up until 1946,Loxton also played in the Victorian Football League (VFL) for St Kilda as a forward. In all three arenas,he was known for his energetic approach.
