A cover by British rock band Status Quo, simplified as "In the Army Now", was internationally successful in 1986.
"Love in the First Degree" is a song by English girl group Bananarama from their fourth studio album, Wow! (1987). It was released on 28 September 1987 as the album's second single, except in the United States, where it was released in 1988 as the third single. The track was co-written and produced by the Stock Aitken Waterman (SAW) trio. It achieved major success in the UK and Australia, and also peaked within the top 20 in many European countries, but, unlike "I Heard a Rumour", it reached only the lower end of the top 50 in the US.
"We Don't Talk Anymore" is a song recorded by Cliff Richard, written by Alan Tarney and produced by the Shadows' rhythm guitarist, Bruce Welch. It was released in 1979 as a single and reached number one in the UK Singles Chart in August 1979, remaining there for four weeks, Richard's tenth UK number one and his first since "Congratulations" in 1968.

The single also topped the charts in many European countries, as well as in Oceania.
"Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You" is a song written by composers Michael Masser and Gerry Goffin. It was originally recorded by American singer and guitarist George Benson for his 1985 studio album 20/20, released by Warner Bros. Records. This original version was produced by co-writer Masser, and was released as a single in Europe only in 1985. In 1987, Hawaiian singer Glenn Medeiros released a version, which became a worldwide success.
Romantic Warriors is the fifth studio album by German duo Modern Talking, released on 8 June 1987 by Hansa Records. It contains the single "Jet Airliner", which reached the top 10 in Germany and Austria, while entering the top 20 in Switzerland and Sweden. The album peaked at number three in Germany on 6 July 1987 and spent total of four weeks within the top 10.
"(I'll Never Be) Maria Magdalena", also known simply as "Maria Magdalena", is a song recorded by German singer Sandra for her debut studio album The Long Play (1985). It was released as the album's only single on 2 September 1985 and reached number one on the German Singles Chart, becoming the duo's third consecutive number-one single in Germany, following "You're My Heart, You're My Soul" and "You Can Win If You Want". The single spent four weeks at the top and a total of 24 weeks on the German chart, and eventually went gold, selling over 250,000 units there. "Cheri, Cheri Lady" has also been certified silver in France, denoting sales in excess of 250,000 units.
"Atlantis Is Calling " is a song by German pop duo Modern Talking, released as the second single from their third studio album, Ready for Romance (1986). It is the duo's fifth and final consecutive single to reach No. 1 on the German Singles Chart. "Atlantis is Calling " was released in Germany and in other European territories on 28 April 1986, it peaked at No. 1 in Germany on 16 June 1986 after spending two weeks at No. 2 position. The single spent four weeks at the top and total of 14 weeks on the top 100. While "Atlantis Is Calling " entered the top five in Switzerland, Austria and Sweden, it managed to chart within the top 10 in the Netherlands and Norway.
"Geronimo's Cadillac" is a song by German pop duo Modern Talking from their fourth studio album, In the Middle of Nowhere (1986). It was released as the album's lead single on 6 October 1986 in Germany and other European territories. It was their first single not to reach the top of the German Single Chart, peaking at number three on 3 November 1986, almost a month after its release. It spent five weeks within the top 10 and a total of 13 weeks on the top 100 in Germany. "Geronimo's Cadillac" also entered the top five in Austria and the top 10 in Switzerland, Sweden and Norway.
"Win the Race" is a song by German pop duo Modern Talking. It was released in February 2001 as the first single from the tenth album America. "Win the Race", released in Germany and in other European territories on 26 February 2001, was composed by Dieter Bohlen and became the anthem for Formula One in Germany in 2001. The single peaked at number 5 in Germany on 26 March 2001, exactly one month after its release. While the single was successful enough in Germany to spend total of 13 weeks on the singles-chart, it only managed to peak at number 14 in Austria, meanwhile entering the top-40 in Switzerland and Sweden.
"Mega Mix" is a song by German Eurodance group Snap!. It was released as a single only and comprises the four previous singles taken from their first studio album, World Power (1990). The songs in order of the mega mix are; "Ooops Up", "The Power", "Cult of Snap", and "Mary Had a Little Boy". The song is included on their 1996 album, Snap! Attack: The Best of Snap!.
"We Don't Need Another Hero (Thunderdome)" is a song written by Graham Lyle and Terry Britten. It was recorded by American singer Tina Turner for the soundtrack album to the 1985 film Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, which starred Mel Gibson and Turner. On the heels of Turner's multiplatinum album Private Dancer (1984), the song was released as a 7-inch single, an extended version was released as a 12-inch single and on the film's soundtrack album. In the United Kingdom, a shaped picture disc was also issued. The power ballad received a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Original Song and a Grammy Award nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. As songwriters, Lyle and Britten received the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically.
