Jignas Chittibomma (born 12 January 1994) is an Indian archer. He is noted for being instrumental in India's 2nd-place finish in the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
Chittibomma had a superlative performance at the schooling age of 14, while studying class IX, in Second South Asian Archery championship held in Jamshedpur. This was as a member of the Volga Archery academy under international coach Lenin, which won the Silver medal from E. S. L. Narasimhan, Governor of Andhra Pradesh and K. Roshaiah, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.[ citation needed ]
He is noted as the youngest archer in India's team and being instrumental in winning team silver medal in Commonwealth Games of 2010 that was held at New Delhi in India by defeating South Africa with 226–224 in semifinal and settled for silver medal by losing to England in final with 229-231 points. Jignas was instrumental in entering final by scoring 78 points out of 80.[ citation needed ]
(8 Arrows) in semi final and scored a record of 79 points out of 80(8 Arrows) to win silver medal by the Indian team comprising Ritul Chatterjee and Chinna alias Raju Sridhar. [1] Jignas is also credited for being youngest boy at the age of 14 years to participate in all Sub Junior, Junior and Senior Nationals in one single year between 2007 and 2008 held in India and Turkey. He is also credited for being youngest boy of 16 years old to play in Senior Archery world cup held in Croatia in 2010. [2]
Jignas was born on 12 January 1994, to Sri. Ch.V. Rajasekhar an Irrigation Engineer and Smt. Ch. Nalini at Vijaywada in Andhra Pradesh. [2]
His fine skills were first noticed by his father when he was shooting darts accurately and took up archery at the age of 8 in May 2002 as he has facilities for archery training in his native place, although he was actually interested in shooting. [1] [2]
Aparna Popat is a former Indian badminton player. She was India's national champion for a record equaling nine times when she won all the senior national championships between 1997 and 2006.
Limba Ram is an Indian archer who represented India in international competitions, including three Olympics. He equalled an archery world record in 1992 at the Asian Archery Championships in Beijing. He was awarded the Padma Shri Award in 2012.
Geetika Jakhar is an Indian wrestler. Geetika comes from a family of sportspersons. She got Arjuna Award - 2006. She is the only women wrestler in the history of Indian sports to be judged the Best Wrestler of the 2005 Commonwealth Games and also who won medals at Asian Games 2006 and 2014 respectively. Geetika is the first women wrestler being awarded with the Arjuna Award by Government of India in 2006. She is also a proud recipient of Bhim Award by government of Haryana. For her extraordinary achievements in the field of sports, the government of Haryana has appointed her to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police in 2008.
Divya Singh is former captain of the Indian National Women's Basketball Team. Singh led the Indian women's basketball team at the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games. She is known for her game skills, leadership qualities, academic strength and personality. She has done sports management at the University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware, (UD) in the year 2008 to 2010 and worked as a Women's basketball assistant coach for UD. She was assistant coach of the Under 16 Indian Men's basketball team which participated in Vietnam 2011. She was the assistant coach of the Indian Men's team when India won the bronze medal in Lusophony Games in Goa. She was also a part of the Indian National Women's Basketball Team as an assistant coach in the 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014.

Harika Dronavalli is an Indian chess player who holds the FIDE title of Grandmaster (GM). She has won three bronze medals in the Women's World Chess Championship, in 2012, 2015 and 2017. Dronavalli was honored with the Arjuna Award for the year 2007–08 by the government of India. In 2016, she won the FIDE Women's Grand Prix event at Chengdu, China and rose up from world no. 11 to world no. 5 in FIDE women's ranking. Vladimir Kramnik, Judit Polgar and Viswanathan Anand are her chess inspirations. In 2019, she was awarded the Padma Shri for her contributions towards the field of sports.
T. Gopal is a former volleyball player from India. He captained the India national team at the 1966 Asian Games.
Rajah Menuri Venkata Gurusaidutt or R. M. V. Gurusaidutt or Gurusai Dutt born to RMV Bharadwaj and RM Anjana is a badminton player from India. He trains at the Hyderabad's Gopichand Badminton Academy. He won the gold medal at the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games and the bronze medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Cherukuri Lenin was an Indian archer and coach. He was the son of Cherukuri Satyanarayana.
Valluri Srinivasa Rao is an Indian weightlifter from Andhra Pradesh. He works in the Corps of Electronic and Mechanical Engineering of the Indian Army.
Chekrovolü Swüro is an Indian archer from Nagaland. She represented India in archery in the 2002 Asian Games and 2006 Asian Games held at Busan, South Korea, and Doha, Qatar, respectively. She was a member of the silver medal-winning team in the 2011 World Archery Championships, held at Turin, Italy. By winning a silver medal in the team event at the 2011 World Archery Championships in Turin, she qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics in both women's individual and team archery.
Purnima Mahato is an Indian archer and archery coach from Jamshedpur, India. She has won the Indian national archery championships and a silver medal at the 1998 Commonwealth Games. She was a coach for the Indian national team at the 2008 Summer Olympics and was selected to coach the team at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She was awarded Dronacharya award from President of India for 2013 on 29 August 2013.
Handball Association India (HAI), formerly Handball Federation of India, is the governing body for handball in India. HFI is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 at Rohtak. HAI is a member of the Asian Handball Federation (AHF) and the International Handball Federation (IHF) since 1974. It is also a member of Commonwealth Handball Association and South Asian Handball Federation. HFI was founded by Jagat Singh Lohan, a Jat from Rohtak (Haryana) who was an alumnus of YMCA College of Physical Education of Madras. He was also the first secretary general of HFI.

The Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) undertakes the sports development activities such as construction of stadiums, establishment of sports academies and other sporting related activities. The sports infrastructure have increased tremendously by improving infrastructure in outdoor and Indoor stadiums, play fields, sports academies, sports equipments etc. Sports such as kho kho, kabaddi are played mostly in Andhra Pradesh.Most sports players from Andhra pradesh represent national level competitions and very few international competitions.

Suma Shirur is a former Indian shooter who competed in the 10 metre air rifle event. She is a joint world record holder in the event, having scored the maximum of 400 points in the qualification round, which she achieved at the 2004 Asian Shooting Championships in Kuala Lumpur. In 2003, she was awarded the Arjuna Award by the government of India. She is currently the High Performance Coach of the Indian Jr. Rifle Shooting Team. She is also the coach of 2020 Paralympics women's SH1 10m rifle gold and women's SH1 50m 3-position rifle bronze medalist Avani Lekhara
Musunuri Rohit Lalit Babu is an Indian chess player. He was awarded the title of Grandmaster by FIDE in 2012. He is the 4th International Chess GrandMaster of Andhra Pradesh, Olympiad Bronze Medalist first ever medal for India in entire Chess history, Commonwealth Gold Medalist. Asian silver Medalist, National Champion, Limca Book record holder. He has won 20 individual gold, 15 individual silver and 14 individual bronze medals in National as well as International tournaments. Till date he had represented our Country in nearly 60 Major International Tournaments for over the past 15 years.
Abhishek Yadav is an Indian Table Tennis player. He trains at the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board Academy in Ajmer, Rajasthan, Delhi. Abhishek has been sponsored by Stag International since 2005. After graduating Abhishek's talent was spotted by the GoSports Foundation, Bangalore and was part of their scholarship programme from 2012 - 2014. Abhishek did his schooling from Guru Har Rai Academy, Kanpur.
Atanu Das represents India in the recurve men's individual and team events. His current world ranking is 9 as of 22 July 2021. He is the spouse of World No. 1 Indian archer Deepika Kumari.
Pooja Surve is an Indian individual rhythmic gymnast. She represents India at international competitions. She competed at world championships, including at the 2009 World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, Japan. In 2010, she was the only gymnast from India to be in the top 16 at the 2010 Commonwealth Games; she won Miss Exotic Performance award in World Cup Belarus 2010, becoming the first Indian to ever get this award; and she also participated in the 2010 World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, held in Moscow.
